The visual effects are top-notch, the unrelenting obliteration of entire city blocks is overwhelmingly awesome, it's handled with such panache (the overhead shots of the tremors' wave-like effect is especially cool) that all you can do is sit back and gawk at the sheer scale of it. "San Andreas" doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is , VFX-driven disaster epic at its finest , and as long as you know that going into the film, you'll probably have a good time. 8/10.
