Not sure why people find things like this "entertaining" or a "spectacular." My rating ignores the contempt for history or even for a good story in favor of the random fever-dreams of a band of writers.

But it does include the results. It's a bunch of random vignettes tied together very very very loosely with an obviously tacked on 1) Love story, I guess? Zero chemistry, and needless triangles and disapproving fathers.

    2) Aristocratic but vaguely not-white bad guy, improbably in multiple continents.

It's a bit of stilted action, a lot of talking that makes not too much sense, bad planning, a dance or three only because there's no excuse for nightclub acts, interminable travel scenes, and a few fights that mostly have gaps in logic that make them only entertaining if you like to not think about your entertainment.

This sort of movie is the Transformers of the 30s. Mindless, and it's annoying to me they are still beloved by so many.
