    . . . rodent rabble has carefully groomed the Goof Mutt to be a role model for antisocial and dangerous behavior on the part of America's youth. By the time that LION DOWN was foisted upon U. S. urchins, the future theme parks of Disney's incipient empire already were on the drawing board, with the insidious idea of having Real Life Goofy's hugging the entering tykes and luring them into living wasted lives wreaking mischief and mayhem. LION DOWN promotes home invasion and vandalism, as the scofflaw Goof hacks into the apartment directly below his penthouse, stealing his neighbors' personal stuff before intentionally flooding their living quarters. He then invades a nature preserve, filching a tree. What a nut case!
