• After you accept the lower production values, the acting and story are a mild mess. Rather boring standard trope characters and plotting leave this film as lackluster as can be. Only the earnest acting of the main female lead brings any quality to the film, seconded by the geeky "waterboy" character. And minor props to the younger sister who embodies the annoyance of her character. Otherwise, story is a very tired tale of a long lost killer legend with the possibility of a descendent following suit, or a supernatural ghost carrying on with the slasher deaths. Ho hum. Go watch Hatchet (any of the Crowley films for that matter) to have better production, acting, and special effects, along with a story that at least has something better to it.
