Claude Hulbert is an earl from an ancient line. He's also so impoverished, he's concave. So when millionaire's daughter Gino Malo shows some interest, his butler, Aubrey Malamieu, moves heaven, earth and creditors to offer a good front. The problem is that Hulbert is in love with his secretary, Winifred Shotter and has no interest in Miss Malo.

It's a film from quota quickie specialist Maclean Rogers. While everyone does a good, if high-speed job, matters proceed at perhaps too great a speed. Hulbert, a specialist in silly asses, doesn't get to do much in the way of business; only Anthony Holles gets a few good bits.

Given that the original running time of this film was 78 minutes,it is more likely, that this comedy, made for distribution by RKO was a co feature rather than a quota quickie. Claude Hilbert is in fine form in the leading role.A pleasant comedy.
