Wayne Brady is known for his wacky and sometimes wild improv segments on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, which often helps him at other gigs.
One of those other gigs is the popular game show Let’s Make a Deal, which has Brady as the host.
He recently experienced a bizarre exchange with a contestant on the show who said she would “slap” him.
Brady was asking for it, though, as he said he wanted to try some “choreography” with the woman.
The result was the woman telling him, “I’m so sorry,” and Brady acted like he was in pain.
The recent game show highlight arrived after a Drew Carey highlight from The Price Is Right featured him accidentally slapping a contestant’s face.

Viewers were amazed by a contestant on The Price Is Right who seemed to make history with his bid.
The longtime game show, currently hosted by Drew Carey, features a series of games involving correctly estimating or guessing the prices of various products.
Contestants also have a shot at even more prizes during the Showcase Showdown at the end of the show.
Each contestant must give a total bid for one of the two prize packages, and the bid can’t exceed the actual total price. Whichever contestant comes closest to the actual cost of the prize package without going over wins.
Some big-ticket items often include all-expense trips, cars, hot tubs, and home furnishings.
Viewers saw an impressive edition of the Showcase Showdown and reacted to a contestant’s incredible bidding, which some believe was historic.

There are plenty of things that can go wrong when you are filming a television show. Drew Carey saw that for himself during The Price Is Right. While most embarrassing or violent content is edited out of most shows, the moment where Carey slaps the glasses off a contestant made the cut. Continue reading to see what led up to the shocking moment.
Drew Carey Knocks Contestant’s Glasses Off On Stage
In the most recent episode of The Price Is Right, one contestant joked with Drew Carey about being “scared for his life” on stage. It seems he was right to be scared because, in the same episode, another contestant was slapped in the face by the host.
Although it was accidental, Carey’s slap knocked the woman’s glasses off as they stood next to each other on stage. Looking mortified, Drew Carey started to apologize repeatedly to the woman.

Sometimes, random accidents happen during the filming of television shows, and they appear during the televised episodes.
While curse words or other incidents are generally censored or removed from network TV footage, sometimes other random occurrences make it into shows.
That was the case for a recent installment of the popular game show The Price Is Right.
During the episode, one contestant joked with Drew Carey that he was “scared for [his] life” while on stage, and another contestant got hit across the face.
The host’s accidental slap knocked a pair of glasses off the woman’s face.
It left Carey apologizing heavily to The Price Is Right contestant after the accidental slap.

While many games on The Price Is Right feature guessing products’ prices, another popular segment has three contestants, each getting to spin the wheel.
That wheel features numbers from 5 to 100, representing monetary amounts.

Some find it scary to get on stage in front of a studio audience for a national TV game show and compete for big prizes.
While The Price Is Right games aren’t life or death, the pressure is on as people try to win big money, new cars, and other exciting prizes.
It’s an exciting prospect, but stage fright or fear of failure often adds to a contestant’s nerves during the games.
However, one contestant admitted to host Drew Carey he was “scared for [his] life” upon getting on stage.
The show host likely hasn’t encountered many contestants who have admitted such fear, so he did his best to calm the man down.
That contestant had good reason for his fear: Someone was watching him nearby, and he didn’t want to mess up.

Drew Carey is known for handing out large amounts of cash on The Price Is Right to the game show’s various winners.
The actor, comedian, and game show host also admitted to making millions of dollars from his former sitcom, The Drew Carey Show.
He credits the show writers for helping him do that, so it’s no surprise that he generously spent money to help out writers during the Writer’s Guild of America (WGA) strike.
He racked up a hefty ongoing tab to cover that large food bill but wouldn’t stop paying during the strike.
It even resulted in a call from his accountant suggesting he stop spending so much money on that.
While hosting the WGA Awards ceremony this past weekend, Carey commented on why he paid the food bill during the strike, calling it “the right thing to do.”

Drew Carey was able to collect his well-deserved attaboys Sunday at the Writers Guild Awards, where he told the crowd that he covered the bills at Bob’s Big Boy and Swingers for striking scribes last summer because “it’s the right thing to do.”
With a plate full of food in hand, the host of The Price is Right took the stage at the Hollywood Palladium to explain why he insisted on paying for so many meals — though he did acknowledge a brief period of shock and awe when the bills started arriving.
“I didn’t know it was going to cost me so much money,” Carey told the crowd. “The last it was like, I think the total bill was like $67,000. I thought it was going to be about the same thing. But then some of you decided ‘oh yeah I’m going to a get a shake and some dessert....

While most games on The Price Is Right require price and number-guessing skills, other aspects involve luck or some athletic skill.
That’s the case with the game show’s golf game, which is appropriately called Hole In One. An improbable win arrived in a clip from the show just as the PGA’s Masters Tournament was underway at Augusta National Golf Course in Georgia.
In The Price Is Right’s game, contestants rank six grocery items from least to most expensive. They move a line closer to the golf hole for each price they get right.
Once they’ve finished trying to rank the prices, they have two chances to get a hole-in-one on the game’s small putting green.
If they do, they win their prize, usually a brand-new car.

Sometimes, recent events cause interruptions, preemptions, and schedule changes with television programs.
That was the case for The Price Is Right, as it was abruptly interrupted last week.
In March, viewers saw various CBS programs preempted and postponed due to coverage of NCAA’s March Madness and college basketball.
However, a more recent interruption was caused by weather, as an earthquake shook parts of New York, New Jersey, and elsewhere.
Viewers expressed their frustration with being unable to watch the recent episode of the popular game show.
It might also raise questions about the upcoming episode of The Price Is Right, as another significant event will occur, potentially bringing news coverage.

Some viewers weren’t happy about news coverage interrupting their favorite game show’s Friday, April 5 episode, as they couldn’t watch Drew Carey present various price-guessing games to contestants for prizes.

Fans of The Price Is Right recently called out a contestant’s win, with some slamming the game or criticizing the prize winner for her efforts later in the show.
However, host Drew Carey expressed his happiness over seeing the individual walk away with an exciting prize while he was there.
The game show features a range of games involving guessing prices and one contestant recently won a car at what many believe to be a challenging price-guessing game.
However, another contestant’s recent win in a well-known game didn’t receive as much fan praise.
With the Range Game, the prize is typically a vacation, which was the case for the latest edition, as the contestant was trying to win a trip to Costa Rica.
The gameboard featured a range of prices from $11,000 to $11,600, and the trip’s price is somewhere in that range. A $150 red range finder moved...

The Price Is Right fans said goodbye to host Bob Barker last year, but the show continues with Drew Carey taking over his duties. It has recently been revealed the show does have behind the scenes protocols they must follow. Recently, a former producer from the show revealed one protocol that is a little surprising. It shows that behind the scenes, the administration team takes things very seriously despite all the fun everyone has on the set.
Safety Is Important On The Price Is Right
Drew Carey, the current host of the game show once had to have a contestant’s wife come on stage to help out because he had dislocated his shoulder. How did that happen? When Alex Trebek passed away in 2020, the search was on for the new Jeopardy! host. Production knew what was in store for them when Trebek retired shortly before he died so he could be at home and spend time with his family. No one could fill his shoes but the show must go on. It looked like they would be trying out a bevy of notable names to see who would fit in, carrying on the torch. Former Jeopardy! producer Mike Richards is finally talking about what went wrong for him in his ill-fated stint as host two years ago.
Richards was announced as the full-time replacement for the late Alex Trebek in 2021. He lasted just one day before resigning after questions arose about his conduct.
“We never discussed how to replace Alex once we knew he was sick,” Richards told People in a new interview. “A conversation like that would have been so disrespectful. We had talked about people coming in and guest hosting if Alex got too sick. But we always knew Alex would come back until the day he decided he couldn’t.”
Trebek died of pancreatic cancer in November 2020. At that point, several guest hosts were brought in as executives struggled to determine who would be the host.

Long-time television producer Mike Richards was at the center of controversy in 2021 when he was chosen as Alex Trebek‘s replacement to host Jeopardy!, only to be fired after just one day on the job. Richards, who served as the executive producer on Let’s Make a Deal and The Price is Right before moving on to Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune in 2020, was dropped as producer and host after accusations of workplace discrimination and insensitive comments made on a 2013 podcast. “I hosted one day,” Richards told People in a new interview. “And then the anti-defamation league was called in to do an investigation on me.” At the time, it came to light that Richards was named in wrongful termination and discrimination lawsuits filed by former The Price is Right models, which led to an Adl investigation. “I told them I’ll answer anything. I’m an open book, proud of what I’ve done.

Some fans are convinced CBS’ long-running daytime talk show The Talk will be canceled as the series has yet to be officially renewed for a 15th season. As reported by The Sun U.S., viewers think they’ve spotted ‘clues’ that The Talk will be axed based on CBS’ upcoming schedule. As recently revealed, the eye network will be adding all-Black soap opera The Gates to its daytime TV line-up. While CBS has yet to confirm exactly where and when The Gates will air, the schedule doesn’t leave much room for The Talk. Fellow soap operas The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful have both been renewed, so those are unlikely to be removed from the line-up. Then there are iconic game shows Let’s Make A Deal and The Price is Right, both of which continue to bring in solid ratings for CBS and, therefore,...

The Price Is Right host Drew Carey revealed he feels a sense of closure following the conviction of the murderer of his ex-fiancée, Amie Harwick.
Gareth Pursehouse, Harwick’s ex-boyfriend, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for Harwick’s murder in 2020.

Harwick, a Hollywood marriage and family therapist, had previously filed two restraining orders against Pursehouse before her murder.
Pursehouse attacked Harwick inside of her Hollywood Hills home, throwing her off of the balcony and resulting in blunt-force trauma to the head.

Actor and comedian Drew Carey went on an impressive journey to improve his health, which included losing 1,000 pounds over the years.

It didn’t stop there, though, as he also revealed he would “have Doritos and several Pepsis, and take an Ambien to go to sleep” at home.
Carey told the publication, “It was miserable” to live in that manner.
However, the 65-year-old show host began to take his health seriously, even reversing his Type 2 diabetes diagnosis.

Exclusive: That’s My Jam, Jimmy Fallon’s music-themed game show, may take slightly longer to return to screens than previously planned.
The NBC show was set to start production on its third season imminently but Deadline understands that it has now been paused.
The reason, we hear, is scheduling, largely as a result of the vast number of celebrities that are required to film each episode. For instance, each episode features two teams of two celebrities competing in a series of music, dance and trivia-based games and musical performances.
This has included the likes of Ariana Grande and Blake Shelton competing against Kelly Clarkson and John Legend and Kenan Thompson and Big Boi versus Kesha and Renée Elise Goldberry.
Given that the show films up to a dozen episode across a small number of days, this can be somewhat of a challenge.

CBS had a good premiere week.
The network landed the top 16 shows of the week, the first time that any network has accomplished this feat since at least 1987, when Nielsen first introduced People-Meters.
With the strikes delaying its scripted premieres, CBS launched shows including Young Sheldon, FBI and NCIS last week and it recorded 32% more viewers than compared with the opening week in the 2022/23 season.
ABC’s American Idol and America’s Funniest Home Videos were the only two non-cbs shows in the top 20.
Per Nielsen, CBS averaged 5.08 million viewers compared to its September 2022 premiere week viewership of 3.85 million viewers. It was also the number one network every night it aired scripted originals (Wednesday had The Price is Right), and had the number one show for six nights (it lost Saturday).
Young Sheldon topped the pile with 7.99M viewers, followed by FBI with 7.7M. 60 Minutes got 7.43M, NCIS took 7.3M, Ghosts scared 7.05M,...
