In this flick there is humor , fun and guffaws . An amusing but below average Spanish comedy film and with its ups and downs . It deals with Regajo Of Sierra , a village near from Madrid that wants to make independence and to have its own autonomy . This scheme is supported by its Mayor , Aniceto (Juanito Navarro) and councillors (Tito Garcia , Luis Barbero , Rafaela Aparicio , Francisco Cecilio) . Aniceto ,then , schemes a twisted plan to blackmail a womanizer senator who is opposed to give it , by means of a sexpot neighbour called Marina (Maria Jose Nieto) who acts as an expert karate-woman and body guard , as they attempt to carry out a masquerade to force him to let their projected autonomy .
Juanito Navarro and Antonio Ozores were two cool Spanish actors . They usually made couple with Fernando Esteso and Andres Pajares and achieved much success in the 80s . The movies they played were funny and with many support's actors . The films were with short budget and lackluster but including comedy and lots of fun . Many actors and technicians worked and ate thanks to the huge success of the films . Those contain many nude girls , laughs and slapstick , being mostly directed by Mariano Ozores , a prolific filmmaker and writer , in fact he wrote the absurd screenplay , he recently won a Goya Award (2016) to his long and fruitful career . The latter made with these four comedians , -Juanito , Antonio , Fernando and Andres Pajares- a lot of films , as they had various years partnership between the four leads , such as ¨Los Bingueros¨ , ¨Al Este Del Oeste¨, ¨Los Liantes¨, ¨Los Energeticos¨, ¨La Lola Lleva Al Huerto¨ , ¨El Currante¨, El Hijo Del Cura¨... This ¨Los Autonomicos¨ is a lousy as well as embarrassing comedy that contains crazy events , nudism , amusement and absurd situations . It is a nutty Spanish comedy that offers no intellectual stimulus whatsoever , though it has some fun and hilarious moments . Humor is sometimes cheesy and gross-out with numerous naughty and picaresque situations such as sex jokes , adulteries , jealousy , and erotic scenes . The film attempts to give laughs but it doesn't work , resulting in a bad , nonsense and failed film . My feelings are extremely mixed but I must admit there are some brief and no very enjoyable laughters ; however , it also packs uneven comedy , piggy humor , and political themes . The picture follows the wake of ¨Fernando Vizcaino Casas¨ novels , recounting hilarious situations along with political moments such as : ¨Hijos De Papá ¨ , ¨...Y al Tercer Año Resucitó¨ , ¨La Boda Del Señor Cura¨ . In fact , the movie bears remarkable resemblance to ¨Las Autonosuyas¨(1983) by Rafael Gil . ¨Los Autonomicos¨ partially reflects the mood and the reality of Spain in the immediate Post-Franco era , dealing with politic juncture about the Autonomies in similar style to other films from this period . Supporting cast is plenty of familiar faces such as : Valeriano Andrés , Luis Barbero , Tito García , Francisco Cecilio and Luis Lorenzo in his usual role as gay man . Including several ¨Destape¨ or nudist actresses such as : África Pratt , Alejandra Grepi , Pilar Alcón and Beatriz Escudero , and of course , the beautiful starring , Maria Jose Nieto , also shows his splendid body .
¨Los Autonomicos¨ is an average picture , being regularly directed by Jose Maria Gutiérrez in Mariano Ozores style . Gutiérrez directed a few films ,such as 1981 Pepe, no me Des Tormento , 1978 Arriba Hazaña and 1975 Pantaleón Y Las Visitadoras and he also made some documentaries . Rating : Mediocre but entertaining . The film will appeal to fans of the Spanish comedies of the eighties with the ordinary protagonists , Navarrro , Ozores , Paco Cecilio ...
