When "Cathy Price" (Rebecca Rocheford) learns that she has been chosen as the new interim director of a television show called "Bikini Squad" she is initially very excited. Until she meets the producer "David" (Lucky O'Boyle) and the members of the cast that is. From that moment on her hands are full just trying to make ends meet long enough to film just one last show. At any rate, it has been my opinion that in order for a "beach movie" to be successful it has to have certain key elements. The first and most obvious element is some attractive ladies. Failing that it needs some likable characters that the viewer can relate to or possibly empathize with. Also necessary is some good humor--or at the very least a fun plot. Not complicated really. Now, as far as this particular movie is concerned there were a few attractive women which included Maureen Flaherty (as "Summer"), Julie Strain (as the "aspiring actress") and the aforementioned Rebecca Rocheford. Likewise, I thought some of the scenes were totally hilarious. Unfortunately, there were also some scenes which really fell flat along with some characters who were more than a little annoying. Both of these factors severely affected the overall quality of this movie. Be that as it may, I should probably warn viewers that there is some sex and nudity in case anybody needs to know. In any case, while I don't consider this movie to be a total flop neither do I consider it to be that good either. That said, I rate this film as slightly below average and recommend it only to those who enjoy this particular genre.
  • Cathey gets hired to be the new director of a Baywatch clone when the previous director goes crazy. It's the hope of the producer that this girl will up the female audience somehow. She finds that the other cast and crew is hopelessly inept, vain, and/ or borderline mentally retarded. Needless to say sh wants to be off the show ASAP. But she's trapped. Director Valerie Breiman, who might I add was responsible for "Going Overboard" quite possibly one of the worst comedies EVER made, doesn't help her cause with this abysmal little number. Not only unfunny, but surprisingly not much T&A for a movie with Bikini in the title. It also is overly long and could've used much MUCH more editing. At least the 'writer' had the common sense to leave his/her real name off it.

Eye Candy: Donna Baltron, Maureen Flaherty. and Julie Strain bust out of their bras (but all three can be seen in greater display in better films)

Bikini Squad is simply great trash - this is a category of it's own with it's own rules: some people LOVE it, others hate it and will never understand why other people may love this kind of §$%&#* ;-)

This is in my Top.10 of all-time trash'n'fun for sure - it has everything-a-trash-movie-needs: sexy actors, gifted for trash, well-known slapstick gags, senseless violence, awful dialogs, a storyline you may guess 1 minute after watching this movie first time.

take-a-seat on your couch and open the popcorn bag: we're crossing the borderline of good taste.

    aw - i love it. <3
