To celebrate the upcoming release of season one of Star Trek: The Next Generation on Blu-ray on 23rd July, Shadowlocked was invited along to the Enterprise pub in Camden to take part in a quiz night based around, what else, Trek. Braving the schizophrenic British summertime weather, myself, fellow Shadowlocker Calvin Peat, and my good lady wife Deborah (who also took the pictures accompanying this article) became Team Troi in an attempt to prove our worth in Star Trek: The Next Interrogation!
Welcoming us onto the holodeck of the Gbp (Great British Pub) Enterprise was Star Trek legend and compere for the evening Terry Shuttleworth, quite possibly the world’s foremost authority on all things Trek, who marveled at how accurate the representation of the dingy upstairs room of a North London pub was. To that I’d add that the replicators did a splendid job on the beer and food as well,...

Director Ridley Scott had been talking about making two Alien prequels which would have revealed the origins of the original Alien species and the space jockeys. All that was changed a few months ago when Fox announced that they were giving Scott the ability to make any sci-fi film he wants as long as it maintains some sort of Alien DNA strain to reference the older films....
This has caused so much confusion in the community that some news sources are calling it an entire new movie all together while others maintain it is still basically an Alien prequel. Our friends at Sky have just learned the truth that it will keep everything that fans previously expected and add more.

Directed by Peter Maris (Can It Be Love aka Spring Break Sorority Babes) Starring Charles Napier (for 7 minutes), Hoke Howell, some other people, crap computer graphics and men in monster suits. Moronic Mark finally learns what his bad movie quota is in order to get his soul back. So after this review, he's got 622 left. Movie 623 (if you're counting backward) is the Independence Day knockoff, Alien Species. Poor Charles Napier, he's in this one, but luckily for 7 minutes. It's pretty bad when the Killer Klowns From Outer Space have a more menacing lair then this movie. Totally tideous, but somehow Mark makes it through with the help of Journey and Mallrats.
