The returning 1990s sitcom Frasier has already enjoyed two rebooted seasons on the air thus far, but will the sardonic psychologist return for season 3? The 2023 Frasier series is a direct continuation of the original, which ran from 1993 to 2004, and catches up with Frasier as he moves back to Boston to get closer to his son. Despite the nearly 20-year gap between the original and the reboot, star Kelsey Grammer hasn't missed a beat, and the return of Frasier Crane proved to be an instant hit on Paramount+.
Season 2 has upped the ante from the somewhat safe and reserved debut season, and Frasier's sophomore outing features a slew of new faces and returning characters from the classic series. On top of that, Frasier has continued to develop as he not only tries to fit in with his fellow staff members at Harvard, but also balances his love-life with his attempts at a relationship with his son,...

Infinity Nikki's Shooting Star Season is the first event of 2025, and kicking off the season is the chance for players to experience once again one of the most majestic feelings In has offered thus far: taking a ride on the soaring wings of the Grand Blue Crane. This crane is a companion to the one that flies the skies above Florawish, patrolling the area between the city and the Dream Warehouse, but catching a ride on it can be a bit tricky for players who don't know its route.
The white paper crane has been flying above Florawish since the game's release, but the Grand Blue Crane is new. Its job is to take players to the Wishing Nebula observation deck, but despite this, taking it up to the platform doesn't count as the objective completion. Instead, you'll need to watch its flight path in the overworld, outside the Shooting Star Season Quests,...

With the Frasier reboot happening nearly two decades after the decorated original sitcom ended, more modern ways exist to engage with audiences and gauge their feelings towards the updated series. One of the revival's producers reveals one intriguing way he tracks audience approval and interest following the recent conclusion of its second season.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Frasier reboot co-creators and showrunners, Joe Cristalli and Chris Harris, shared how they've been tracking viewer reactions for each episode. According to Cristalli, they've been visiting the Frasier subreddit to see how fans reacted to the revival, with the reviews being largely positive, especially from "superfans" who've followed since the original series aired. I keep, very trepidatiously, wandering into Reddit to see what they think, Cristialli said. Most of the Reddit subreddits Im on are the Frasier superfans, because thats who you impress.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Frasier season 2, episode 8, "Thank You, Dr. Crane."The Frasier revival season 2 returns to Seattle, but in the process, it interprets the point of the original series incorrectly. After spending the first several years of his TV arc in Boston, rubbing elbows with Norm Peterson and Cliff Clavin at Sam Malone's underground bar in Cheers, Kelsey Grammer's snooty therapist decided to return home to the Pacific Northwest. Off-screen, awarding Frasier Crane his own spinoff was risky back then despite the success of its parent series. In the new revival, Frasier spent the first 10 episodes back in Boston reconnecting with his grown-up son, Freddy.
As its sophomore year expands its storytelling, it lets itself tap into the nostalgia of revisiting the original show. That includes more prominently featuring Roz, following Peri Gilpin the Frasier season 1 finale return. With the friends reuniting, they make a trip back to Seattle in "Thank You,...

If there's one thing haunting the "Frasier" revival series, beyond the general complaint that only Kelsey Grammer returned from the original cast, it's the more specific complaint that Niles isn't in the show. The titular psychiatrist's similarly pompous yet lovable brother was essentially the other main character in the original sitcom, and his absence from the reboot has been conspicuous to say the least.
Fans will know the story about why Niles actor David Hyde Pierce didn't return for the "Frasier" revival. To put it simply, the man didn't seem all that interested in the project, claiming he didn't "miss" the characters and was otherwise busy with other ventures. After the Paramount+ streaming series was renewed for a second season, however, the actor's comments started to sound a little less negative, with Hyde Pierce revealing his one condition for returning to the role of Niles. Warning! Spoilers ahead for Frasier season 2, episode 8.The Frasier reboot season 2, episode 8 features Frasier Crane resurrecting his Kacl series and talking to a very special guest caller. While the Paramount+ reboot sees Kelsey Grammer's elitist settling back in Boston, its sophomore run finds a way to incorporate the Crane family's hometown with Frasier returning to Seattle. In "Thank You Dr. Crane," Roz recruits her old boss and lifelong friend for a special call-in show to save the struggling radio station. On his trip to the West Coast, Freddy tags along, as he watches his dad get re-acquainted with the Emerald City.
Transitioning from practicing privately as a therapist in Boston, as seen in Cheers, Frasier became somewhat of a local celebrity in Seattle when he launched his radio program, The Dr. Frasier Crane Show. Every day, he took calls from the people in Washington State to help them deal with personal problems.

Unexpectedly, Cheers is getting a remake, which kills all chances that Ted Danson's original sitcom will get a revival. Released in the early '80s, Boston-set comedy wasn't an immediate hit. In fact, it almost got canceled in its debut year due to very low ratings. While it took Cheers some time to find its audience, when it did, there was no stopping it. Not only did it become a massive commercial hit for NBC, but it also garnered countless awards throughout its 11-season run. It remained very popular even when Cheers ended in 1993 with a much-beloved finale.
In this day and age of reboots and revivals, Cheers is a favorite target of such wishful thinking. Its cast remains incredibly close. In 2024, Cheers even had a reunion except at the 75th Emmy Awards proving the ensembles' continued camaraderie. As with every time Danson and his former co-stars get together,...

The Frasier reboot sees Dr. Frasier Crane return to the city and the radio station that made him famous, as the radio psychiatrist-turned-professor goes back to Seattle and Kacl 780 late in Season 2. Aside from reacquainting with his former stomping grounds and ex-colleagues, Frasier's return stems, in part, from an underlying story thread including his close friend, Roz Doyle.
Speaking with Parade Magazine, Frasier star and producer Kelsey Grammer teased one tidbit about the nostalgia-filled Seattle return, which takes place in Season 2, Episode 8, "Thank You, Dr. Crane." According to the Emmy-winning star, the trip back to the Og Frasier's home city ties to Peri Gilpin's Roz, as Roz is seemingly set to join Frasier in Boston for the long haul.

Frasier actor and executive producer Kelsey Grammer reveals his beloved character's biggest motivations in the reboot series. According to Grammer, Frasier Crane "loves with his whole heart," having nothing but pure intentions during his return to Boston.
Speaking with The Ankler, Grammer addressed the differences between the revival series version of Frasier and the original iteration of the titular psychiatrist and TV star-turned-professor. According to the Emmy-winning actor, Frasier returned to Boston, the home of the parent show, Cheers, because he had unfinished business and wanted to fulfill goals dating back to his childhood. Its like hes getting younger in a way, so he can fulfill the dreams of his youth, which is what Herman Melville had above his desk: Do not forget dreams of your youth. When Cobra Kai returns to Netflix for its sixth and final season, the Karate Kid spinoff plans to expand the Miyagiverse significantly. The teen-focused drama Crane kicked martial arts action fans in the face in 2018, building on the Karate Kid legacy started by Ralph Macchio (Daniel Larusso), William Zabka (Johnny Lawrence), and Pat Morita (Mr. Miyagi). With every season, Cobra Kai has grown through fan-service casting, interpersonal drama, and hard-hitting action. No one could have predicted the Miyagiverse would expand the way it has because of Cobra Kai, and now the show’s co-creator, Jon Hurwitz, says fans can expect Season 6 to explore the franchise in exciting ways like never before!
In a thread on Twitter/X, Hurwitz assured fans the final season of the series delivers big surprises, in-depth character flashbacks, and plot elements that expand the Miyagiverse.
“Season 6 expands the ‘Karate Kid/Cobra Kai’ universe more than the first 5 seasons combined.

David Hyde Pierce is an accomplished actor who's won awards for his various performances on stage and screen. But there's no doubt he's best known for playing the finicky Niles Crane, brother of the titular psychiatrist in "Frasier." Pierce won four Emmys for his performance in the beloved sitcom, which ran from 1993 through 2004, heralding what was basically the official end of the '90s when both it and "Friends" wrapped up in the same year.
To be fair, if all Pierce did in his career was play Niles, there'd be no problem. As the Washington Post put it in a 1996 profile of the actor, Pierce "may have been born to play Niles Crane." At the time, he'd been co-starring in "Frasier" for three years, but from the very first episode, he really did seem like the one and only choice to play Niles.

In the early 1960s, movies like Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho were considered to be groundbreaking and controversial works of art that were not for the easily spooked. Stories like that, which tackle deep psychological struggles, paranoia, voyeurism, and even murder- were far from the horror genre’s mainstay creature features that were capturing audiences at the time. The movie was based on Robert Bloch’s 1959 novel which was published just in time for Hitchcock to purchase every copy in the United States right off the shelves of book stores in order to preserve the shock value of the story’s iconic twist ending. With Psycho, the gilded status “Classic” is certainly well-earned and maybe even a slight understatement. The movie flawlessly captures the...

David Hyde Pierce, who is known for playing Niles Crane on Frasier, is addressing his absence from the Paramount+ revival which recently dropped its finale episode. The Julia actor spoke to The Los Angeles Times, about his work and decision to keep from returning to the franchise for its latest iteration. “It’s not like I said, ‘Oh, I don’t ever want to do that again.’ I loved every moment,” the Frasier alum said. (Credit: Joseph Viles / ©NBC / courtesy Everett Collection) “It was that I wanted to do other things,” he explained, noting that it wasn’t about not wanting to do the revival, but rather his desire to explore new opportunities. “And when we got into real talks about the reboot, I had just started on the Julia TV show and was working on a musical and going to do another musical. Warning! Spoilers ahead for the Frasier reboot episode 7.
Frasier and Lilith's divorce was caused by Lilith's affair with her colleague, Dr. Louis Pascal, and their attempts to reconcile failed. The original Frasier revealed that their divorce was finalized and Lilith ended up raising their son Freddy. Despite their split, Frasier and Lilith maintained co-parenting and sought each other's advice but remained antagonistic and contentious towards each other. Their possible reconciliation in the reboot is hinted at after Frasier's recent breakup.
Freddy's parents come face to face in the Frasier reboot episode 7, but the outing doesn't reveal the reason why Frasier and Lilith got divorced in the first place. Bebe Neuwirth reprises her role as Lilith Sternin in the Paramount+ project, marking the first major guest star in the show from the Frasier Crane universe. Warning! Spoilers ahead for the Frasier reboot episode 6.
Frasier reboot episode 6 moves on from Martin and Niles Crane, acknowledging their existence but showing they're no longer relevant. Frasier changes the meaning of the "Crane boys" by referring to himself and Freddy, though initially it included Martin and Niles. Losing Niles and Martin poses a risk for the Frasier reboot, but it allows the show to focus on new relationships and avoid relying too much on nostalgia.
The Frasier reboot episode 6 reveals that the new show has fully moved on from Martin and Niles Crane. NBC opted to create plot inconsistencies for Cheers when it introduced Frasier Crane's family in Seattle. Previously, not only did the snobby therapist claim that he was an only child but he also told Sam Malone that his father was long dead. For what it's worth, the Cheers gang didn't have any reason to suspect Frasier.

Frasier Crane is back on our screens in a "Frasier" revival that's neither disappointing nor remarkable. The new show is in the unfortunate position of having to revive one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time without any of the supporting cast that made it such a hit during its original 1993-2004 run. The only cast member returning from the original sitcom is Kelsey Grammer himself — which, if you ask the "Frasier" star, isn't a bad thing as he is, after all, the key to the success of the show.
Sadly, that hasn't necessarily played out thus far, as the revival show manages to keep much of the humor and heart that defined the original but still somehow fails to capture its magic. After a heartwarming tribute to Martin Crane actor John Mahoney in the inaugural episode, "Frasier" 2023 sort of limps on while demonstrating flashes of the brilliance that...

Frasier's reboot explores his strained relationship with his son Freddy, reflecting the same dynamic he had with his own father. The original show's limited portrayal of Freddy raised accusations that Frasier was a bad father. Frasier's dismissal of his father's interests and behavior in the reboot highlights his own transformation into his father, leading to a potential reunion with Freddy through lessons learned.
In 2023, Frasier will return to TV screens, and while Kelsey Grammer's upcoming Frasier Crane reboot should be a celebration of the character, it may make fans confront some uncomfortable truths about him. As confirmed by the first Frasier reboot trailer, TV's most famous radiotherapist has uprooted his life in Seattle to head back to Boston, where he lived during the Cheers timeline, reconnecting with his adult son Freddy in the process. But things aren't all tossed salads and scrambled eggs for the pair.

Artist Joe Quinones has revealed concept drawings for his work on Batman '89: Echoes, sequel to the 2021 miniseries Batman '89, set in the continuity established by Tim Burton's Batman films – debuting not only a new Batsuit, which will feature in the series, but also the villain Scarecrow, who fans have decided looks exactly like Jeff Goldblum.
Batman '89: Echoes #1 is set to come out on November 28, 2023, and will feature a Madonna-esque Harley Quinn, in addition to what may well be a Goldblum-inspired Scarecrow. Like its predecessor, Batman '89: Echoes draws on concepts from the unrealized third Burton Batman film, along with new material from Quinones and writer Sam Hamm, to craft a story continuing the Michael Keaton incarnation of the Caped Crusader.

Most TV shows start with an established cast of characters. A show's main characters are often the ones audiences root for and connect with. While other characters will join the cast later on in recurring or supporting roles, these new characters can become quite popular.
Some of the most popular and iconic TV characters didn't appear in Season 1. In series like Criminal Minds or It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, popular characters joined the main cast after the first season. Other characters were only meant to be in a handful of episodes but worked so well that they stayed for longer, like Cheers' Frasier Crane and Breaking Bad's Mike Ehrmantraut. These characters made such an impression after their debuts that they became mainstays.

The Dark Knight trilogy is widely recognized as one of the best film trilogies based on comic books. There's a lot of merit to this critical assessment as both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are incredible movies. Although The Dark Knight Rises is the weakest of the three, it's still a fun movie in its own right.
