Known thief 'Living Dead Bandit' is robbing the bar that Jessie (the always cute Beverly Lynne) works at, he gets away, but after her boss, mad at her for spawning his advances, convinces a cop who just happened to walk in that she was in cahoots with the legendary criminal, she's railroaded by the system and sent to women's prison in this silly little soft- core film that seems to be Fred Olen Ray's bread and butter these days.

Simply a silly soft-core that is competent, has OK simulated scenes, and doesn't pretend to be anything but. All the girls, save for one (she does have a pretty face/torso, just my general prejudice of girls with A-cups and/or really puffy nipples) are all very attractive as well so that's a plus .

    The Goods: 6 simulated sex scenes (F/F, M/F, M/F/F)

    My Grade: C

The three extended long (5 minutes each) nude scenes place this in the higher echelon of the no plot-softcore movie subgenre as they are well lit and the actresses seem reasonably interested in the task at hand.

That task being - giving the other woman in the scene an extended tongue bath.

The plot unfolds as this - prisoners are issued small tank tops or bikinis. The prison guards & warden are corrupt and sadistic - mainly because they snarl and wear leather but really, that's pretty much it. In fact, the warden office is pretty much the producer's office with some handcuffs and what looks like the pots & pan holder and the prison van is a white cargo van with zero markings. In bikinis they escape but it's not particularly sexy as they seem to walking through a park. So, it's conveniently a 15-minute movie as after the two 5-minute locker room sex scenes and the always reliable Beverly Lynne in the warden's office - you can just rewind as that is the best part of the "film."

Bikini Chain Gang only briefly touches on a universal topic. How does an innocent person fare against a corrupt judicial system. Beverly Lynne as Jessie plays a character at odds with her boss because she will not provide sexual favors. When his establishment is robbed by the Living Dead Bandit, the boss commits perjury and has Jessie framed. Jessie soon finds herself in conflict with Nicole Sheridan as Prison Matron Togar. Matron Togar is hopelessly corrupt and is actually in cahoots with The Living Dead Bandit to insure that Jessie will be put out of the picture. The interaction between the Bikini Chain Gang and Matron Togar is electrifying. Matron Togar is truly a vile character who relishes the fact that she is pure evil and unfortunately perpetuates many negative female stereotypes. Belinda Gavin as Jessie's cell mate has a physically compelling performance in a locker room three way that is a standout. Evan Stone erupts on the screen as Tommy the boyfriend in the warden's office sex scene. Alexandre Boisvert steams the screen with Sheridan and then Lynne during a pounding soundtrack. The detail to the prison sets and the inspired second unit work are top notch. Bikini Chain Gang is very thoughtful and works on multiple levels. The ending will shock you at first, but after some thought you will realize that it was inevitable. A great soundtrack, mesmerizing images, sensitive performances. Find time for viewing this great film.
