  • Only the last 6 minutes was great, especially the acting, otherwise this episode felt like a feather. We all know what are Ramsey's motives. Sadly, I am losing interest and now everything feels forced, except for the dialogue between Barry and Joe. I hope this doesn't turn out to be the next Arrow. If so, then it is better to end it with Season 6 instead of creating superficial arcs.

    My rating : 6.5/10

Best episode so far. Really develops the Plot. Ramsey Was Awesome In this episode. Already better than Cicada. Flash season 6 gone to the best four episode start.

    Warning: Spoilers
This episode titled "There will be blood" further builds up the conflict between Team Flash and Bloodwork. I have grown quite cynical about the direction the show is heading with the villain Bloodwork. I was quite intrigued to find out more about Ramsey Rosso's powers in the premiere episode, but now he does not have my full undivided attention. He is quite a bland villain. Hopefully that will change in the coming episodes. I presume that he will control Barry Allen's blood cells to cure the cancer he has.

The rest of the episode was Crisis on Infinite Earths related. It dealt with Team Flash dealing with the fact that Barry Allen is going to die during Crisis. He will obviously survive, but there is definitely going to be a twist involved. Cisco was the most affected by the news, so much that he hid the supposed cancer cure for Ramsey Rosso to figure out a way to use it to save Barry from the anti matter. Much to his dismay, he got caught by Barry.

Nash Wells returned and we found out a little more about his origins. Apparently, he is trying to find the Monitor or Pariah. Both of these characters have cloaks, but I believe the latter to be true.

This episode showcased Barry Allen in quite a emotional state at the end where he has a heart to heart conversation with Joe. Joe always supported Barry and believed in him when no one else did.

To conclude, this episode was not nearly as good as last week's episode, but it still served as an entertaining hour of television.
  • Warning: Spoilers
This episode started good. This season's first half is moving just like I expected. Every character is trying to deal with Barry's death. The Cisco arc was executed good. The better thing that I find this season is how arranged most stuff is.

Bloodwork seems like a promising villain. Not to forget these are four episodes and we have yet to see of him. The whole undead thing was good and really felt more like the DC Apocalypse. I think they might do something with that.

The Joe and Barry heart to heart was good. I was genuinely worried how Joe wasn't moved an inch by Barry's death but here we see it has broke him worse than anyone else and why not.

And then the ending. Probably Nash will go on to become Pariah but just a guess.

    8.5/10

This season keeps getting better and better by the episode. Some moments are slow but well worth it when it reaches the 30 minute mark. This episode went above and beyond with the emotional scenes. Great acting. Along with the action scenes with good visuals. 10/10
  • Whining, whining, whining. I understand 42 minutes is a lot, but this is a disgrace now. All the time we have to watch the sad face of the team. Then forced emotional conversation then again then again. The destiny thing is very-very dumb, there is no weight of the situation. Motto of the whole Arrowerse: "This is aaall my fault! Bruhuhu.. :'("
  • Not ok to throw someone out a window but it's ok to explode someone to death. Sounds good

This season is not taking its time at all. Just like episode 2 dove head first into the Crisis storyline, this episode dives head first into Bloodwork. Though it has been interesting to see Ramsey as a good guy, at least from our heroes' perspective, he has finally embraced his evil side and unleashed Bloodwork. Not only does he showcase his powers in gruesome ways but he also showcases how far he is willing to go to survive. That's a common thread throughout the character arcs this episode. As Cisco showcased how far he was willing to go to save Barry's life by stealing McCulloch Technologies' serum that was eventually given to Ramsey by Barry. When they were first looking to steal it, they were joined by Harrison 'Nash' Wells. Last episode introduced this new Wells and I'm already seeing the potential to make this a Wells to remember. He is no longer just a side character. He has his own very intriguing storyline involved with the upcoming crossover. The ending of this episode saw Nash Wells underground, looking for what people assumed was the "Eternium" he spoke of last week but when he used the crypto-circuit Cisco gave him to create a hologram, it was revealed that he was looking for the Monitor? This is one of the best storyline this season and I'm excited to see where it's going. Lastly, we had some side characters this episode that didn't do much in this episode, but did enough to remind that they're there and that they have their own storylines. Ralph, who was planning on dropping the Sue Dearbon case to focus on saving Barry from his impending death is headed to Midway City in search of more evidence for his case. Joe, who wasn't showing as much sorrow for Barry's death as other members of Team Flash broke down in an emotional heart to heart moment with Barry near the end of the episode that had all of us tearing up. And Frost was there to back up Barry in his fight against Ramsey and his "zombies". Overall, this wasn't a perfect as it was a bit slow for the first half, but it ramped up and earned its spot as the best episode of season 6 thus far.

Bro that was so emotional and dramatic 😭 Joe you nailed it...
  • Kiiiraaa31 October 2019
This episode was very similar to seasons one and two in how emotional it was. None of the scenes felt like they were dragging on and they all felt relevant to the plot. Each character (excecpt for Cecil maybe) got a bit of screentime. But overall this episode portrayed a very emotional Barry which we didn't have as much of in seasons 4 and 5. I loved it. Totally cried. 10/10 for the early seasons vibe. Don't listen to the haters on here.

I'm not sure what has happened with the writing on this show, but recent seasons seem to be missing something. Poor plots, unbelievable or just contrived villain arcs. The Flash character is inconsistent in what he can and can't do ability-wise. Other characters don't appear to have much growth left and the acting feels forced. The lightness that previously existed amongst the cast in the first few seasons is like a long distant memory. I know with "Crisis" on the way the outlook is supposed to be bleak, but this has been building for a while. This episode barely kept my attention. I'll keep tuning in for now.
  • This episode was so emotional...I don't why some people didn't like it but I loved it... The Barry Cisco bond the Barry Joe bond it was great I loved it...I think this is the best episode of this season so far
  • Warning: Spoilers
Why : Mainly, flash episodes has side plots that are so un-necessary, but in this episode there is none. Ralph-iris builting for 'sue-dibny' storyline is actually a main storyline for ralph dibney, in-fact the storyline is canon.

I can allow filler moments in main storyline like...'pep talks' if something went wrong.

Remember when they said in one of 'the flash s5 interviews' 'cicada will be a scariest among the villains of the flash' and yah..it was a joke. -bad acting -over-hyped villain

And eric wallace says the season will be 'chills & thrills' and once again he says the villain is 'scary' and i think he basically said he 'loves' s1,s2,s3 of the flash and reverse flash as a villain.

Pros: -bloodwork is actually scary(hospital scene)

-barry believed cisco 'should' take a lead in tf

-joe and barry's emotional scene.( i h've never seen joe cry like that'

    -NOT META OF A WEEK

-ralph foreshadowing his future moment (lol)

    -zombies

-bloodwork killing? Now that whts trigger tf (i know villains kill) ramsey is a DOCTOR, he's suppose to help people not kill.

-Bloodwork motives were pretty interesting. He killing not because he wants to, he just killing to survive, he actually hesitate when he sees his 'doctor vow', he was mad because his mom died by not fighting, as for his turn, he's fighting 'way too hard' for his disease, thats what make him snapped.

    -ofc barry as a leader

    Cons :

-i think the uses of kf is way too much, they actually need caitlin for this kind of stuff.

Ep 5, and ep 6 seems to filler/character development episodes for both cisco and ralph.

    Ep 6 & 7 is 2 parters for a main story.
  • You have a heart of Stone! Overall the episode was your average Flash story but the scene between Joe and Barry was a real tear-jerker. 😢😢 Both actors did a superb job of really helping the viewer suspend their disbelief.
  • bhavishm-0686031 October 2019
Its been years we have seen a good episode, this one was fulfilling, especially the conversation that barry has with joe, i felt season 1 feels tbh, this was more of a character develop of ramsey but the last few minutes got me crying
  • This felt a little like a mid season finale, because this season is devided in two parts this episode makes the mid season finale for the first half...

Really good episode though... and to awnser that cmburton-29875 guy, i think you're in the wrong episode. Plus, when killer frost threw him out the window, Barry reacted like that just because he thought romero was alive, then when he found out romero was already dead he could "explode" him...

    Why?
    Warning: Spoilers
I am not sure why reviewers keep giving high scores to this show. I use to love it, but now I am starting to think it is time to stop watching it. The script is stupidly inconsistent with the story and the characters themselves. The fact that Barry is in danger of death did not seem that important in the previous episodes, but with the introduction of the beloved green solution ... what can I say. Either cisco had copied its ingredients, or they are going to steal it from original manufacture to save barry, which is going to happen in the final episode. A character faces a silly emotional problem that is added to the story forcefully, then Iris or Joe gets in and tells a series of nonsense that has nothing to do with the problem, but miraculously the problem is gone. Happy ending! I'm not even gonna talk about barry's stupid urge to lead, teach, and advice anybody he encounters. He not wanting to hurt anybody is making the show into a meeting about anger control and judgment. It seems there is a switch to techniques that flash learned in previous seasons. Whenever we need the story to continue flash, turn in to flash 0.1 version, which can't fight a single person. Then at the end of episode or season, he is flash 20.0 version again; It is not the right way to tell a story; it kills all the sustain.
  • I feel like a lot of people that watched thought it was emotional and an all around great episode. Unfortunately i was not one of those persons, i thought it was boring and nothing happened. No i get it It was supposed to be a lot of talking and emotional parts but watching 40 minutes of a flash episode by just people fake crying and talking as they already do like half of an episode all the time. I thought it was boring as hell...

    Rating: 4.2/10

In the Flash's one and only Halloween episode, Barry and Cisco team up with Nash Wells to steal tech and stop Bloodwork who is stealing blood from the hospital. There are two ways to describe this episode: emotionally riveting and terrifying! The climax with the blood zombies in the hospital was one of the most memorable scenes in a while. This episode is great large in part to the fact that Bloodwork is at his most menacing here! This was also the introduction to the new Wells! What an introduction it was! He might be the worst main Wells, but he was great in this episode! I have no problems with this episode, it's emotional, creepy, intense, and atmospheric.

    9.8/10-THE PEAK!!!👍👍👍

Why doesn't the flash ever use his speed? Why does he just let non-speedster villains like Ramsey run away like that? He also could've stopped him from cutting that dude's throat. Such a boring show. If it wasn't a show about a guy with super speed then it'd be good though.

    Warning: Spoilers
I am not going to form a coherent review. I'm just going to post my thoughts throughout the episode.

    • Hey, guys. Gonna die but you can't do anything about it. Okay, good talk.
    • Wait. Barry has a job? Oh, yeah, he's like some CSI guy. I need a job where I can get paid for 6 minutes a month.
    • What exactly is Mohinder's power? He can control black goo? Think he's available for an oil change?
    • For the love of God, you wouldn't rest until you saved Iris's life from Savitar, much to the dismay of the rest of the world, but when it comes to yourself, you refuse to try anything? If you're going to die, TAKE IRIS WITH YOU.
    • Barry. You flat out annoy me a whole lot lately. Between you and Supergirl, I don't know that the world will actually be changed with earnest facial expressions and sunny dispositions. Shut up.
    • Like Supergirl, it's always all about Barry and that he thinks he's always right and the entire world is on his shoulders and only he knows what to do. He has this moment several times a season and never learns. I love Barry Allen, but enough is enough.
    • Yes! Harrison Wells to save the day! Tom Cavanagh is this show. More focus on him and less on that annoying harpy that is Barry's wife, k? And he's Indiana Wells, even better! I love the running gag of different Wells' every season. I always look forward to what version we will get. I loved Earth 2's Harry (wait...is he still alive?) but this one has the potential to top the list too.
    • Good for you, Cisco. Don't let Barry always have his way. Stand your ground.
    • Blah blah blah, leaders and heroes sacrifice and I am a hero and I will die to save mankind and we must cure this one man because I decided and tough calls and blah blah blah and Cisco, you are bad because you stole something meant to save a complete stranger trying to save me and now I no longer anoint you leader and blah blah blah. Shut up, Barry.
    • Hey, don't try to learn what the serum is made up of so you can recreate it in the future and save a whole lot of lives. Just so long as everyone knows you're a hero and you saved one man because his life was in your hands and you decide who lives, Barry.
    • Blah blah. Always the martyr, Barry.
    • I'm giving you this serum because a friend said you were smart. That's why you deserve the serum above anyone else in the world, Mohinder. You can be a crazy mad scientist who kills people, but I deemed you worthy of this serum so it must be so.
    • Can someone please tell Mohinder that other things other than murder can bring an adrenaline rush? Try a roller coaster or bungee jumping first, perhaps? If all else fails, dangling someone off the edge of a tall building without actually dropping them probably would scare them too. Or hey, break into a pharmacy and steal a bunch of weight-loss pills. Why is murder always the first choice for these TV villains?
    • Damnit, he went straight for murder. Now I have to look forward to a scene where Barry cries and moans that it's all his fault all those people died and that he should have had a longer heart-to-heart with Mohinder and that he can talk him into doing the right thing and how he failed this city and only Barry can stop him.
    • Is Barry training to be a psychiatrist? Is he trying to talk the villains into submission? He knows that he can run after the bad guy because he's kind of fast, right?
    • There is no "we" lost, Barry. YOU lost.
    • And there it is. There's that speech.
    • Ooh. Indiana Wells is looking for the Monitor, too. Maybe something can finally be done now. At least SOMEONE is trying to learn more about the impending Crisis.

More sentimental crap, but Joe saved it from becoming a nausea-inducing scene. At this point in this episode, I want to shoot Barry right now so I don't have to watch any more of this horrendous storyline with Sludge or Barry playing the martyr yet again. His refusal to let his friends try to find some way to save his life isn't fair to them and trying to force his teachings on them makes this whole situation even worse. Maybe I'm cranky and ready for some story progression or maybe it's because I have a sinking feeling they're setting it up so that Oliver Queen sacrifices himself so that Barry and Kara can live. When Barry annoys me ten times more than Iris does, you know it's not the best episode. I'm sure the writers were going for emotion and sentimentality but it had the exact opposite effect on me.
  • This was another episode that seemed to have a great premise. Team flash dealing with the fact of Barry's death. I don't know if I'm being overly critical, but this episode as a whole just felt off. These characters choices make no sense, and solely seem like a ploy to create more conflict and move the plot along. The motivations for these characters are completely wrong. This wasn't even a bad episode, I think what happened could've easily made for a great episode, but Barry gives up on his life when he would never before. Ralph goes back on his development from Season 4 for no reason at all. I feel like Cisco's choices were okay based on the situation, but they could've been better portrayed. Ramsey just becomes a psychopath and anything interesting about him has seemingly disappeared. Also the villain running away, and the heroes doing nothing to stop him plot hole is back. The only thing I really thought was great, was that final scene with Joe. Also I have to give the episode credit. I literally laughed out loud when they said they were lucky to have a master detective like Ralph. So weird that he didn't do any detective stuff last season. As a whole this entire episode just felt like forced conflict and Drama for no real reason, and no implications except for what Russo decides to do. I don't know, I was really excited to potentially see the Flash be back, but so far this hasn't been the triumphant return I think we are all hoping for.
  • 4/10 only because of the intriguing ending. The rest was in the category of z-movies. The emotional scenes were forced.

Watch for user reviews like that of jdtech's who started rating Flash episodes 10/10 since Season 5, Episode 15 (each and every episode since then got 10/10 from him or her).
  • bsimpson18931 October 2019
A zombie episode, how appropriate. This season has not been too good but this is probably the best episode so far.
