Leon, a boy from the Netherlands, has come to Flying Squirrel Village for summer break. Bayan and Dola took Leon to the ancient battle field, only to discover that the hunting shack had been destroyed by a wild boar. They gathered everyone together to build a new barn to be a school for Bayan to pass on all of his knowledge and everything he has learned to the children.

Behuy wanted to take Leon to a secret place with lots of bamboo shoots with Giwas went along. Giwas harvested some big bamboo shoots, because she remembered that Lawa always ate the bigger ones. Behuy laughed and said that small bamboo shoots taste better. He suggested that they take some shoots back to the school to cook them up and have a taste test.

There's a banana thief in the village. Behuy, Nainai and Bayan's bananas all went missing. The whole gang went out to search for the bananas, even relying on Nalu's sensitive sense of smell, but they didn't find any trace of the stolen bananas. However, a number of odd things happened along the way that led Leon to discover that something wasn't right.

Giwas and the others searched all around the village to try to find the daytime shooting stars that Leon once heard his father talk about. Everyone came out to help and eventually, relying on a memory that Nainai thought was from a dream, the group found the "daytime shooting stars" in the water of a stream.

Behuy told Giwas about a kind of cloth that doesn't need to be woven because it grows from trees. As everyone was pondering how to make tree bark cloth, they even tried planting the cloth in the ground, only to be caught in the act by Lawa. Lawa decided to teach the gang the method for making tree bark cloth.
