  • Netflix has the first season (Or first part?) out now. It's pretty good. Ends in a cliffhanger so I'm wondering what's going to happen next. I like all the characters, the actors have done a great job! I love the dad, was sad about that part(not a spoiler as it tells this in the description). I love the sisters and their "boyfriends"(I hope!). They kept me watching the next episode. And the scenery is soo nice and learning history of tawaiin was also interesting!

A different pace of storytelling, that takes awhile to get used to, but very much worth your time. The scenery and photography is stunning! This series is quite touching, dealing with family issues, loss, and regrets. Very enjoyable viewing, very capable actors.
  • This series is lovely. It is about life, love, loss, pride, duty, relationships and so much more. It relays the story of a lovely old station master and his daughters and explores what happens after he retires. He has always wanted to revisit some places and some memories and now he is retired, he has time. The series then explores what happens afterwards and delves deep into the relationships of his daughters and their boyfriends. One daughter, who is one of the main characters, wants to discover her roots and sets out to follow her father's journey to see if she can find the answers she seeks.

Some may find the series slow and if you're looking for an action movie, this definitely isn't. But what it is is a wonderful story of how a number of people develop with time and with changing relationships. The music is calming and quite special and the photography is simply tremendous!

If your prepared to spend the time, it's very enjoyable!
  • It is a bit slow pace but I learn so much about Taiwan. I realize that I have not pay attention to Taiwan since high school! Great way to learn about the country and the plot is good. So much about life in general and about people, we are all the same. Forgiveness is the big key to the story.

Thank you, Taiwanese film company for making this movie.

  • The visuals are National geographic like, which is explained in epi 20. The characters have strong moral values, which is what I enjoyed observing, making it much more relaxing and real than North American offerings. Very interesting to see 2 generations trying to be true to themselves and still benefiting from the wisdom of the older gen. For me such wisdom that as parents we instilled in our children, came from the bible in which the purpose of life is revealed and help for happy relationships are taught, such as being a good listener, learn to forgive and see what causes wild behaviour, telling the truth, showing respect. Hope hope hope there is a season 2!
  • Excellent movie. Watched multiple times. Laugh, cried.
  • Thank you so much for this beautiful film of Taiwan. What a lovely country I'd love to visit.... The story is quite good and the actors are great but the real main star is the land and people of Taiwan. Can't thank you enough for this. Also found out about Chi Po Lin. So Thankyou Taiwan.
