    Warning: Spoilers
This movie gets it 2 stars from me for the fact it's german.

This movie is really awful. It's mainly two guys who hook up and the rest of the movie is montages about them trying to survive.

There are also a group of bad guys that do bad stuff to survivors. For some reason after travelling for the entire winter those 2 guys are still on their turf. I just don't get it, don't waste your time

The zombies were alot like those in Walking Dead.
  • Notice how since the Walking Dead came out the movie market has been flooded with zombie movies? Well, this is another one. It's not horrible, and it does have some good parts, the problem is we have seen so many of them now that we already kind of know whats coming before it gets here. I did not understand the first and only review, (even a little, I liked it because nothing came out of it???) but I can say it's certainly not the worst end of the world flick I've seen, I can only think of one or two that were better. The reason? To many zombie movies. If you like Zombies, give it a watch, If not, give me a thumbs down.
  • Ok, the topic is known. You probably like it only if you are a fan of zombies' movies. The point is that the movie gives nothing new to the category, it repeats the same clichés of the category. Also the script is so naive, like a b-movie written by school students! It has so many gaps and back and forths without meaning. Additionally, despite it is a german film it uses language so american with no reason for doing that!

Acting is in the same mood, you believe that you watch some school students that made a short film...

The only good parts is the photography, using the sceneries of the german countryside correctly and the music soundtrack is also very good.
  • Warning: Spoilers
John (Manuel Urbaneck-Germany's Adrian Brody) survives the zombie apocalypse. He bumps into Nick (Jan Bohlenschmidt) on his wanderings. Nick has the co-ordinates of a supposed safe zone which gives them purpose as they must battle other humans lead by Steven Mooers who looks like a Southern Plantation owner.

The voice overs were done with atypical voices adding humor, I believe intentional, to the production. It still takes heads shots for some reason, even though this is a zombie virus. Knives go through skulls like a hot knife through butter.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity. They talk about raping a girl but then kill her before it happens.
  • Those reviews giving this movie more than 1 or 2 stars are obviously involved in the movie one way or the other.

This was so awful. Rarely seen worse acting. And the worst part is that it seems like this movie tries to take itself seriously.

I didn't manage to pay full attention. Why? The movie is boring, It isn't emotionally engaging. It's got a lot of action and killing, beautiful scenery, nice camera work, creative story telling, but it still remains boring. There are some bad guys, but I didn't really believe in their motivation or presentation. The two good guys are not unlikable, they do what it takes to survive, they show togetherness, but for some reason I didn't care about them. Other than that: I will say thank you for including sex scenes only in the imagination of the viewer. Very low rating is not deserved, but any higher than 5 - good luck in defending that.

Not even 5 minutes in and I already hate the effects, I hate how fake it is, any review that's giving this more than a 2 star is obviously fake.
  • I have no words at all to describe what I saw.

The acting is terrible. There is simply no plot. The motivation of the characters, and especially the antagonist dude, is not clear at all. Shot poorly.

This is no longer 0, because people still worked on this project. But 1 is deserved.

Unwatchable amateurish crap with the worst writing, direction and acting imaginable. It starts with two guys in a truck chasing a limping woman who can barely walk. They chase her for hundreds of yards and somehow can;t catch up with her. One of them urges the other to actually step on the gas because they can't seem to catch up with her. Yet she clearly moves at a very slow pace and there seems to be nothing wrong with the truck. In fact, in some shots we see it move at normal speed. Yet it is edited in such a way that it looks as if somehow this woman is somehow always just a few yards ahead of them and they can't close the gap. This scene alone speaks volumes.

If you watch beyond this... You really have a lot of time to waste and no desire to make it at least a bit fun.
  • Script - 0/10 Acting 1/10 Storyline 1/10 SFX 5/10 Cinematography - 3/10 The overdubbing is about as convincing as watching my sister do a Judas Priest concert with a cello. In other words, watch the news. Or the test card.
  • These guys did an awesome job, writing, directing AND acting it out. Are you kidding me??? What a monumental effort and result. It was great. Yeah, you can't find too many new angles in zombie movies but the scenery, the different vibes, even the slight noticeable accents added to the overall effect that made it different enough to be enjoyable. And never mind the people who say if it's a positive review it's got something to do with the production. They don't know what they're talking about. They've obviously watched too many zombie movies, thinking each one thereafter has to outdo the previous, not giving credit for creativity. This is entertainment after all. However, the one thing that is worthy about the storyline I believe is it's not too far removed from reality. There will be sane people struggling with what is going on and there will be psychopaths and murderers who live off the hook. Some of you better wise up before your nightmares come alive and eat you.
  • For a zombie flick, this was refreshing. Of course there are a lot of repetitive elements from the genre, but because this is not your typical Hollywood production, it kinda feels different. Well done.
  • For the budget and the fact that it's not your typical watered down American zombie garbage film, it's really refreshing. It's beautifully shot, with great acting and popping action sequences. The special effects are excellent and the story is charming and endearing for the apocalypse type setting. An all around solid zombie film! A definite must see for hardcore zombie fans!!!

Guys, what's wrong with you? You can't judge a film just because it's made in Germany.

    Look behind the curtains.

This movie is full of attention on small details. Every single place in this film looks love fully choosen to me. Have you ever seen a film with this amount of unprepared film locations? A rotten Glasshouse, a cave in a mountain and a burned house. Just for example. Last time I saw this, THE REVANENT was released.

Maybe the action is not the best, it's still not bad. Ever seen a Till Schweiger movie before? Nah, just joking.

In my mind it's a really good 90 minutes movie full of drama mixed with some zombies. Zombies again? How cares? We've other problems then complaining about zombies. We are in the middle of a much more annoying pandemic situation and I'm really thankful for every new movie I can watch on this summer evening.

Don't compare it to this stupid million dollar cgi blockbusters made for everyone, watch it if you like indie, self-made, full of love and detailed movies.
  • I saw an early version and even with that one I must say its probably the best zombie film I have ever seen coming from germany. Its not what you normally expect coming form germany in this genre like cheap splatter and bad actors. Its really well done and looks fantastic! Great story and very unusuall setting.

Great movie, I liked a great movie from which nothing came out, I celebrate the movie because I like it very much.
  • Ok. It's understood - the budget of this film was probably less than filming 5 minutes of a walking dead episode. Just read the end titles, there's only the actors, a camera man, a director, a couple of people making fx's, some make-up, a van driver, a drone camera, an abandoned places scout, and that's about it. They shot it with some DSLR or equal. (that's why the black levels of the movie cinematography are sometimes a bit crushed).

But they created something original, and a bit different, but still recognizable in the genre of "zombie movies". It's a story of friendship and human nature in the face of a disaster. Nothing too special there.

Still this movie was more interesting to watch than many other B-rated movies. It's because you understand the limitations of the really low budget, and are curious to discover how they overcame those obstacles with creativity, acting, some half-lousy fx's and pure "kamerawerk". Unlike some people claim here, the acting is good, and pretty realistic, and of course sometimes it doesn't work to the fullest. But as cinemaphiles, we are ready to forgive the team almost anything for their passionate work.

Out of their loving effort came a film, which got published in prime video or some other major publisher. They succeeded brilliantly and deserve a chance to make another film with 10x the budget! Also the sound track is really really good.
