Please people. Please. get rid of this endless backstory on Liz Keen, who is SO tiring to continually have to see. Do a backstory on someone else. Anyone.
Kill her off and let us be rid of her. She reminds me of Jane Fonda.

allanljong21 November 2020The plot between Liz and Katarina against Raymond is taking an unpleasant direction. The writers creating a twisted Liz might be a talk world thing but it just takes from the plots and fine tune tensions that once existed between Liz and Raymond. The twists as to who Raymond is has been truly overplayed and I think the audience wants that to end and to move on top another intrigue involving "father" and estramged "daughter".

fpythdw26 August 2021Every episode in which Elizabeth turns against Reddington is just tiring and boring. It is not fair after everything Red has done to her and to the Task Force, she gathers up with someone who claims to be her mother. If this is Katarina Rostova this series is a mess.

Is Heddie going to be the "new Glen"? I like her character, so I hope so. We all miss Clark Middleton, he was one of the characters (besides James Spader) that made the show.
I find myself saying sod off to the screen every time Rostova and Keen are talking now. I wish the show had gone back to what made it fun ; interesting Blacklisters without interminable back-and-forth story arcs.
Keen shouting at an old sick man because she's entitled to the truth - classy. -

He has done more for her in the past few years than her mother has done in her entire life. And turning Dom over to her mother is despicable. I hated when she kissed Ressler and then took his gun. She is so unlikable now.

hosecarl14 November 2020I'm wondering if it's too hard to film a show like this as if the pandemic is going on, or wouldn't it actually be easier to do this show as if the pandemic were real? I know all the politicians are different and they have already covered a possible pandemic in previous storylines, but I'm still confused when every other show on TV has embraced the reality of Covid.

I'm really very tired of Liz and her back stabbing and her horrible mother.
They are beating that story to death.
The series was very good for the first 4 or 5 seasons but has gone downhill from there.
The episodes that concentrated on poor Liz and her adventures are very boring.
The writers have spent way too much time on Katerina. They just need to kill her off. I was very happy when she was gunned down. Until I found out it was faked.
I was sad when they faked Liz death. Not so much now. I thought the writers could have done more with Dembe's background. -
percy_k15 November 2020As much as I want to see James Spader on the screen forever, I sincerely hope this is the last season of the Blacklist. Now the plot doesn't make any sense at all, and I cringed when seeing the scene the task force sort of just shrugged off when they learned Liz betrayed them for "Maddy Tolliver" (It is funny they even avoided speaking the name Katarina Rostova). I didn't cringe at the kissing scene because I fast forwarded it.
Just, end this show, please. It was such a good show, but now I don't even know what I'm watching at all. I guess I've lost that craving I once had to find out what would happen in the next episode, since it would not make sense whatsoever. 4 stars for being able to see Spader again. -
cjonesas24 September 2021An average episode with lots of nonsense, turning around the now lame Liz and Katarina. The plot is sort of weak, not interesting and going nowhere, just turning in circles. I've nothing against Liz, but her arc in that lame writing is against and badly weakening the show. Also, the score throughout is good for a teenage-driven series.

voigaswolpertinger8 January 2023Oh boy, I am binge watching this show for about 3 weeks by now (yeah, I need to sleep and work once a while too). I loved it up to somewhere around season 5. All the criticism of Liz was not really bothering me, for in one of the first episodes, doing a self-profile she said she was a conflicted and probably narcissist charater. But by now it is unbearable, she changes sides and allegiances just like it does not matter. Actually no matter what, she does stubbornly try to "know the truth she is entitled to".... it really hurts the show. Yes she and Red are the main characters, but she simply starts to be annoying.
And dear producers, if an actor of a background character passes away, be respectful and write a decent fade out for him. But to replace Dom with a guy who does not even resemble him the least, is just a slap in the face of fans who watched some 120 episodes so far. Why are you doing this? -
ZegMaarJus3 August 2021This episode begins with Red and Dembe, Red got called by somebody. Bahar ubducted Lev. Red tells to Dom that Liz knows that he isn't Ilya. Liz tells to The Taskforce that Maddie Toliver is her mother. Bahar shot a bullet trough Lev's head, he died instantly. Katarina tells the truth to Liz. Katarina thinks that Red is a mole. Liz is at the FBI building where it al begun, she sees flashbacks of the past. Liz ubducted Dom. The Taskforce got set up. Liz kisses Ressler. Liz took Ressler his gun. Red says to Dembe that he lost Elizbeth. Solid Episode of The Blacklist Season 8, this Season began okay. A little bit more action can give that extra touch!

boychevradoslav18 November 2020About as well written as a grade school play. I don't recognize the characters I grew to like in the first 5-6 seasons. They're all gone and replaced by androids.
The writers obviously have no idea what they're doing or where they intend on taking the story, the revelations that they tease every episode are an excuse to run in circles and introduce even more important-sounding bad guy name. Wow, the Townsend Directive, Sikorsky Archive, give me a f* break. KGBs, FBIs, Serbians!
Everyone is involved, trust no one.
The plot is stretched farther than a gymnast on a torture rack and so unnecessarily contrived.
I recommend watching this drunk with friends, hopefully one of them will understand what is going on and will explain to everyone else so you can all laugh. -
