Season 1 was wonderful, and this is a terrific start to season 2. I'm still not sure about the inclusion of the boys (the all-girl dynamic was one of the biggest strengths of the 1st season), but they seem interesting so far; in any case, the showrunners have at the very least earned the benefit of the doubt. Besides, the girls still get the chance to shine here (well, except maybe Shelby yet), the photography is still great, and there is a totally unexpected plot twist in the penultimate sequence. 8/10.

    Warning: Spoilers
Season_two_pilot: The rating is for the acting, girls and boys included, though I don't like the inclusion of a group of boys. That just shows weak thinking and writing.

They writers don't know what to do with the girls, neither they do with the boys and that last scene is just a (poor) attempt to mix things up and muddy the already muddied water.

There are many flashbacks, many "redundant" scenes, some of them contribute to the development, but the flow, vibe and "interesting" "thrilling" atmosphere are just not there.

Also, again, as in season one, the adult responsible person who ask questions are nearly the most annoying (persons) in the show. Without charisma, feeling, empathy and full of agenda.

The actors for the "control group" are not as compelling as the original cast. I do love all the varied and realistic responses to trauma the women portray. I also cannot believe Nora is truly dead but I guess I'll have to keep watching!!
  • Warning: Spoilers
Takes a bit to get used to the additional characters but smooth start. The new storyline is different but needed for a scientific study which this show is representing so good start. Girls are incredible as before.
  • They owed us FORWARD MOVEMENT after the end of Season 1. We got the mind blowing last few episodes and I wanted to see what was going to happen after the girls were put in those cells. But the creators decided I wanted to watch a repeat of S1 recast with guys. This stall is the most uninteresting and LONGEST stall I've ever seen happen on a scripted TV drama. An entire season of place holding. What a horrible disappointment.
  • How I wish they couldve just added the boys in a spin off show or something else. They're aren't as interesting/captivating as the girls. The casting was clearly made for token points and let's not talk about the poor acting. The night and day difference between the chemistry of the girls vs the boys is extremely evident.
  • Nobody asked for this story to be told. The whole reason the first season worked so well is a strong female-lead cast. Now we get this bunch of annoying tools. I will not be watching more than the first episode of season 2. I have no interest in these characters. What a way to ruin a great show.
  • Following the indefensible betrayal at the end of season one, this show owes massive reparations to make it watchable again. This episode is bland and sets the scene, the ending offers promise that it might get back on track, but the jury is still out.
