  • How are people not finding this funny? I tuned in half way through and have laughed at every story. I really enjoy dry humor and she delivers on that.
  • The animated approach fit well with Tig Notaro's style, which is more about cerebral storytelling than over the top stage antics or exaggerated body language. The flow through different styles complimented the flow through different stories quite well. If you don't like Tig's stand up, or various styles of animation to begin with, maybe it isn't for you. I enjoyed it start to finish. Not the funniest thing I've ever seen, but solidly entertaining.
  • Didn't even know that was possible but it happened. Totally worth it. The animations really make her stories so much better.

I love this concept. I'm a fan of Tig anyways but I love adding animation to stand up. Especially from different animators and they're unique styles for each story. I dont get why people get all salty about it. If it's not your cup of stand up then you wouldn't like it no matter what. But I thought it was hilarious. Tig talks about some dark issues but its good that they do.
  • This had a lot of attention to detail and was well played out. The marriage between Notaro's stories and humor and the different animation styles was blended together pretty well. Pretty funny anecdotes from Notaro and very good visual comedy from all the animations.
  • The animation makes the whole stand-up even funnier, this was a surprisingly funny one. Def recommend!

That cartoon audience had to have prerecorded synthetic laughs because I can never produce a single laugh from any of her comedy just like Kevin Hart stand up. BUT I do enjoy their movies and shows but not as stand-up entertainment. I know plenty of people enjoy her humor but its like eating stale chips in a beige room and drinking diet coke....super boring and disappointing.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Tig has a very dry wit and I enjoy her brand of humor. This is a very unique way of telling her stories; In animated form. These are excerpts from different stand up she's done over the years. Each story is told in different forms of animation. StoryCorps on NPR/PBS also has the same concept of regular people telling a true life story and is animated.
  • I really liked Notaro's Cancer stand-up special a few years back, but haven't seen her do anything of any real interest since, and this new show is no exception. Supposedly the first full length animation of a stand-up show, I'm really struggling to understand why it was made this way: Could they not afford to film the gig? Does she not like looking at herself? Did they need to dub in fake applause? What was the point?

The animation itself is awfully generic and unfunny, the kind of thing that would usually be used in a cereal advert, and the attempts to amplify humorous moments only weaken them throughout.

The show is basically just a few longwinded observations and shaggy dog stories that are sometimes mildly interesting as tales in themselves (the one about wisdom teeth was best) but aren't really very funny at all, just longwinded remarks over coffee. It feels a lot more like a friend telling you about their day, rather than a professional comedian seeking to entertain you or communicate anything of interest. As some kind of cut-price Spalding Gray, I guess it's not a total failure, but as comedy it's pretty poor. Would be nice for her to try work in some jokes in future.
  • She is usually rather low key, sardonic, and dry. And that works for her. But until know I have never fallen off the couch laughing watching her stand up. Her opening story about her wisdom teeth I was laughing so hard I had to pause and calm down, the encounter with Jenny Slate was almost as funny and then the one with the Dolly Parton Song... I highly recommend this. It's Tig At Her Best So Far!
  • Tig delivers a most engaging stream of consciousness comedy cartoon. Once she starts with the Kool-Aid Man I was hooked to the finish. Her style of humor is witty with a bit of a twist on how we react to our own life and those around us.

Catch this show is worth every minute!

I am only reminded of Lenny Bruce and his "Lone Ranger/Tonto" animated short. I only ask Oscar? Emmy? Because I do no know what the creators of this master piece are eligible for. #Genius.

Very cringey and also is she supposed to funny? Absolute garbage!!

Haven't even seen it and it's a hit. I don't even like cartoons... but I draw.

Few comics have the stamina to not only stand on stage, do a club tour during a world pandemic, raise twins, feed two podcasts until cereal shoots out of our nostrils listening to them the force us to watch alleged documentaries in order to learn what the podcast is supposed to be about...never end a sentence with a lubricated depository. That's a work of art! And no crypto or NFT's for sale.

I draw mosquitoes. Tig draws life and she's doing it well.

    Argh
The animation thru the duration totally ruined it for me. Part of standup is seeing the talent and, while I'm a Tig fan, this was very disappointing. I like her series much better.
  • Tig has done some smart material. This isnt it. This was a bunch of rambling nonsense. The animation aspect is pretty desperate, if you literally have to "draw a picture for you"...that shows how desperate it is.

The laughter is coming from a really easily amused crowd.

I guess if you were there and drinking it might be an enjoyable waste of time..like listening to someone at the party tell some silly stories..but as a recorded comedy show, its really quite amateurish and quite weak.
  • GEEZE. WHAT A DOG. NOT A TALENT IN ANY. RESPECT. THIS IS ONE UGLY AND UNATTRACTIVE MAN AND TALK ABOUT A WASTE OF TIME. SHES UNINTERESTING TO WATCH AND TALENTLESS TOO. WHO TOLD HER SHES FUNNY OR CAN ACT. MY TIME IS MORE VALUABLE THAN LOOKING AT HER. IN ANY PRODUCTION. DAMN HOLLYWIERD GET BETTER TALENT.

. SHE OUGHT TO PAY THE AUDIENCE TO ATTEND HER SHOWS ITVWOULD BE LESS EMBARRASSING. THERES A REASON YOU DONT SEE THIS HACK ON NWTFLIX COMEDT SPECIALS OR PRIMETIME EITHER. HER LOOKS ARE MORE REMINISCENT OF A TRUCK MECHANIC ON SKID ROW WITHV A JUNK HABIT. I AM NO FAN OF HERS BUT WITH GOOD REASON. IF I DID PAY TO WATCH A SHOW. OF. THIS LOW, QUALITY. I WOULD BE ANGRY AND UPSET TO HAVE INSULTED.
