  • Terrible storyline en zero acting skills for the leading actress.

The girl looks nice on picture but thats it, acting skills is really terrible. She looks awkward and fake. It's hard enjoying this movie with her bad acting and thats pretty annoying.

Storyline could be better and i think they could do more dancing and singing as i normally expect from an indian movie.

It is the first time I write comments. Poor acting, extremely weak storyline and ridiculous logic on human interaction.....etc etc... Frankly, I want to give 0 mark but the rating scale starts from 1.
  • Nice time pass movie..full of masala..Well done Paresh Nyati.

This was a nice fun movie. Enjoyed watching it with friends. All the performances were pretty good, Paresh Nyati deserves special mention. The songs are also very catchy.
  • The low ratings are too harsh. This is BOLLYWOOD style, it's meant to be light and fun. I was even surprised by the sad twist in the storyline which isn't typical Bollywood. Bad acting aside, love the cast, the story, the dances, the portrayal of family in different ethic and socioeconomic background. The heartbreaking blatant racism that darker skin people face, the cultural differences, the prejudice...lots of difficult topics are explored here.

The couple is so cute together... Great casting. It would have been more exciting to watch the story speed up a bit though- the love pursuit was a little dragged.

Wish there were more productions like this. Fantastic job you guys!!! Well done and thank you for adding diversity to local HK film scene!
  • This film terms the story of a young man of Indian heritage, who lives in Hong Kong. He falls in love with a beautiful local woman, and they weave through the intricacies of cultural differences along the way.

"My Indian Boyfriend" was marketed as the first Hong Kong Bollywood film, so I had high expectations for it. There was really only one Bollywood dance scene, and the rest was a romantic comedy. I find it applaudable that the filmmakers decided to make this unique film. It is a very good idea to bridge the local Chinese and the Indian community. However, it appears that the story focuses too much on cultural differences. There is far too much racism for me to feel comfortable. The pacing can be a lot tighter too. Overall, it is a laudable first effort, and I hope the second effort will be even better.
