  • Mahesh's most long awaited movie Khaleja is out with many Expectations as it is Mahesh -Trivikram Combination.

Though the movie did not reach the Very High Expectations, It projected the new angle in Mahesh. Trivikram had his mark in direction and dialogues.

Action Sequences in the movie are very Excellent. The Picturization of Various locations in Rajasthan are beautiful. Songs didn't reach audience but the background Score and title music is very good.

The way Mahesh delivered dialogues is Humorous and entertaining. Though the story line in the second half touches the spiritual matters, It is Interesting and bagged the positive response

Though the initial talk about movie is somewhat negative, i have no doubt that it will slowly pick up the Hit talk.
  • One of the amazing entertainers I have seen in Telugu movies, especially Mahesh's character is entirely different from his previous movies and he excelled in performing it. I still do not understand why it was not commercially a great success, people say the story is not good, I wonder what kind of story they look for. Not up to expectations, what are their expectations, had it been a serious thriller like Athadu audience would have still not liked the movie saying its same as Athadu or had it been like any other commercial movie, they would have said routine commercial movie. My guess is, keeping all these kind of things in mind, Trivikram tried to reach the audience in a lighter manner with a decent message so audience say its not up to expectations. So god bless Telugu movie industry!!!

But I am sure everybody would have this movie in their DVD collections and they watch and they would love it but when you ask them they would say its not good and you all know why. The fans associations !!!
  • A new story.very interesting to watch.

Dialogue delivery of Mahesh Babu is superb. In fact it is a big plus to the movie.

The way Raju character turns serious situations to comedy is an innovating try and very hilarious at many instants.

Dialogue is very nice and sprinkled with comedy everywhere.

Subhashini being shown as an unlucky girl in the first half makes the movie interesting.

Anushka and Mahesh chemistry is great and they look beautiful.

A very nice entertainer. It is really a Khaleja!
  • The movie is excellent with lots of comedy in it. Mahesh did a one man show and he was totally different from his other movies.

1st half goes with good comedy and in second half the main story starts. The interval bang is wonderful.

Though movie carried divide talk its managed to get good collections. over all its a must watch movie fr good entertainment.

Mahesh acting is a plus point. Mahesh body language and fights are marvelous.

Anushka has done a good job.

Shafi and Rao Ramesh did a good supporting character.

comedy by Brahmanandam and Ali was also good

this movie is simply the best movie . don't just listen to the critics go watch this movie and then you will find it lot better.everybody is gonna enjoy this movie a lot. the best movie for hero ever . direction is too good . go watch it for sure and enjoy the movie.story is very simply , but the taking of the movie is really good. especially the action of hero and his dialog delivery are amazing. you just cant stop laughing when you are watching this movie. songs are very good too especially the songs , the way they took that song is too good. comedy everything is just perfect... don't miss this movie guys once again. must watch movie...
  • first of all the movie is a very good entertainer in terms of humor and screenplay.

Director excelled in the way he narrates the definition of GOD.

In the film, its not just Raju(Mahesh Babu) realizes he is God, but the audience also realize that God is within everybody.

Apart from the above take away, the screenplay and comedy with Sunil and Ali on screen is a pleasure to watch.

Trivikram had his gripping style of narration through out which makes time flew.

    A must watch.

Mahesh's career best performance andwe can witness a different mahesh babu in this movie
  • Warning: Spoilers
I firstly must admit that I've never liked Mahesh's acting until this movie and after watching this, I can't deny the fact that he is the best entertaining actor(I still doubt his movies selection though) in Tollywood.

The combination of Trivikram and Mahesh is always a high-expectation movie(after their Athadu-one of the evergreen movies of Telugu film history) and they were able to reach up to the expectations- I have to say. Most of the audience might not feel the same, because they might not like the idea of a human being treated as GOD, they might take it as an exaggeration, but in the final moments of the movie Trivikram through the dialogs of Ramesh Rao explains why he chose the character to be considered as GOD(which unfortunately most of the audience do not give a damn about). But for serious movie lovers this is a treat to watch.

Mahesh, after a long time(or I must say for the very first time)proved himself as an actor. After his last movies Sainikudu, Athidhi I just felt that the serious look on his face got glued to his acting. But in this movie-Boy, did he act...He was simply awesome...Everything about him in this movie was nothing short of PERFECT.

Its true that Anushka's role was just like any other Telugu heroine's role in the movies(just for the purpose of filling in the Songs). But she has done well for her character.

Ali, Brahmi and the Sunil trio have tried their very best to lead the comedy, but its the show stopper Mahesh(as one of the dialog in the movie says-"If any one is to do comedy here, that would be me")that rocks the screen with both his comedy and the newly adapted "Dialog delivery" style, which aptly suited for this character.

All the other characters were good-Shafi, Prakash Raj has done justice for their roles.

Finally, to say about TRIVIKRAM, It would be apt to say that he is one of the few THINKING directors in Tollywood today. He has put in a lot of effort, both with his dialogs and his direction- which has ultimately paid off in making this excellent movie.

For the audience, this movie, if watched with out any expectations and preconceived notions, you'll have your heart in your stomach because that's the amount of entertainment this movie has.

I'll give this a 7/10 as it is not definitely for all genres of movie watchers, but surely a very good movie to enjoy upon.
  • Well, Guys come on...its gud enuf movie amidst all big movies like Robot on the screens,,,,

I am not really sure why people are claiming that its a boring one, To be honest even though the story is not that good, Still the movie is very entertaining , fun filled Situational comedies all the way in the first half and second half is something which is average and they should have done it better but mind u even second half is not boring.

In my opinion , Mahesh babu's performance has saved this film..,U will know it when u watch it...its 100% mahesh's show all the way till the end, 100% credit to Mahesh for his performance,

And if you watch it from Thrivikram's movie perspective , YES ITS A DISAPPOINTMENT WHICH LACKS A STRONG STORY OR TURNS OR TWISTS,

And Manisharma's music is decent, "SADA SIVA" song is tooooo goood with excellent cinematography,,,,Hatss offf,,,,!

SHAFI - Goood performance as Supporting actor. Anushka - Glamorous,

Final Verdict - DESPITE OF NEGATIVE FLAWS , ITS A GOOD ENTERTAINER AND MUST WATCHABLE ONCE FOR MAHESH,

    RATING - 7.5

    -Cheers.

A happy go lucky taxi driver turns into a good samaritan, becoming the saviour of a downtrodden remote village. The plot of Khaleja has nothing new to offer, except that Trivikram adds a supernatural tinge to the hackneyed storyline. But barring a few boring moments, Khaleja never loses its steam and entertains all the way!

Trivikram is a master in giving classy and engrossing look to his movies and Khaleja is no different. Whole movie has a 'desert' visual theme as background and sequences in rajasthan and the barren village are visually nothing short of awesome ( credit goes to the brilliant cinematography! ). Most of Mahesh's previous successful movies relied a lot on his characterization. Trivikram earns brownie points in this aspect with strong characterization of hero, but failed in convincingly developing other characters including heroine! Trivikram is synonymous with his simple yet impactful dialogue writing and he is at his best in Khaleja. He used godavari dialect for hero and it works perfect in making otherwise simple scenes a delight to watch! Action episodes are well choreographed with Manisarma's impeccable background score adding that much needed extra zing. The 'supernatural' element adds impact to the action scenes, but thankfully it is not overdone. Songs remain a sore point, barring 'sada siva' and to some extent 'piliche' there is nothing much to rave about. Song picturization was alright, but I expected a lot more from 'sada siva' song.

Its Mahesh's show all the way and he carried his role with aplomb relying heavily on his comedy timing and dialogue delivery. He never looked more handsome ( lost quite a few kgs since Athithi ) and his costume styling was done with a great taste. All in all he delivers a brilliant overall performance after 3 year hiatus. Anushka's role is limited to being a centre point for majority of comedy episodes and doesn't get much scope.Other actors are nothing to write about with Prakash raj, Sunil, Ali and co.essaying their usual clichéd roles. The actor doing sadhu role is good, especially in the closing scene.

Although lacking a strong storyline, Khaleja is an entertaining film with good comedy and exhilarating action sequences.
  • Mahesh Khaleja movie is simply superb n Mahesh acted in different angles.Direction of Trivikram is extraordinary.Lot of Mahesh fans are expected more from him and he reached that and fans are very happy with his performance.the 1st half runs as superb entertainment and the second half is all the Audians are involved into the story. Both in first half and second half Mahesh is so cute. The title Khaleja is very much suit for the movie. In the movie Anushka performance is also extraordinary. Some places coming the divide talk also but after some days it will be rocks. But over all Mahesh Khaleja is positive talk. And in the movie Prakashraj acted well and the main drawback is songs but back ground score is very high.So its a slow pickups and Mahesh will be rocks.
  • opening statement 3 years after the prince of tollywood has entered the silver screen with the magic combination of manisharma and trivikram srinivas.

khaleja is the title and despite controversies it stands apart as a wholesome entertainer with critical flaws.

the case a happy go taxi driver raj alias seethe Ram raj ( mahesh Bab ) turns into a Samaritan for a village with some unrevealing mysteries all around in the village. discovering the depth of the mystery and putting an end to the mystery is the case.

the fate having a simple story the movie of a taxi driver"s role is on the lighter side with all the troubles and achievements he gets. but the Samaritan part is on the serious side and requires lot of careful attention. even though the movie focuses the lighter side on maximum the Samaritan part is the just the driving factor for the movie goers. so the Samaritan role is what the audience will expect ..

evidence ace cinema dialog writer turned director has brought in a case to be solved by the protagonist. but the protagonist is a care free and light guy who does"NT care much. trivikram has etched the role of the protagonist in a casual way as he is a taxi driver. but suddenly one day protagonist realizes the fate of village without him and decides to help them and get a key to the mystery. the mystery is no deep as it is just a mix of all different stories put in one box of 150 minutes. mahesh has seamlessly performed and delivered dialogs to his best. heroine gives lot of trouble for the protagonist. her role is not etched well. prakash raj as the antagonist has been good and under utilized. shafi and rao ramesh are key persons for the village backdrop. they performed well. rest all came in and went. manisharma "s magic in music is not evident for all the numbers except 2 songs. anyhow the score in the crucial sequences were worth noting. editing is the fault in the movie. cinematography is good and worth mentioning. action sequences choreographed by ram and Heinz are to be mentioned specially with appreciation. entertainment value and humor has developed and this led to the back track of the fate to the movie.

what can be better editing is the major fault in the movie. the movie went very slow in the 2nd half and by the time the real story picked up audience has dropped their interest towards the screen and busy scratching their heads. etching the story of the movie in the last 20 minutes is good but already the unnecessary songs in the 2nd half middle and some unrelated scenes to the plot has developed the marginal chance for the audience to put interest towards the end. climax is the crux to the plot and it seemed like the movie ended abruptly with lot of questions left to be answered. with a godly message at the end the credits fall which makes the audience to leave the hall. in the end it is no special movie.

closing statement movie"s fate depends upon the fans and the likings of the audience. its a wholesome entertainer that can be watched once.

Usually people have high expectations for every mahesh babu film. But this one is a big let down by the team. Uninteresting story, OK acting, below average music and good camera work and occasionally enjoyable comedy. And the movie gives you a feel that it is 500 hours long. First half drags a lot. Second half drags even more thus making the movie seriously bad and boring.

Movie starts with few sages building hype about the hero. Then it shifts to a fight which is fought for a jug of water in the desert. There hero meets the 1st comedian and narrates him about the heroine and his story of coming to the desert. Heroine always brings bad luck to the hero. We3ll this looks to be quite interesting but there is nothing more than a bit of curious scenes. Then as the flash back finishes, the heroine's dad fixes her marriage with the villain's son. Son takes her to a desert for a so called romantic dinner but accidentally reveals that his intentions are to have sex with her. She runs away and meets the hero again. This leads to few comical scenes which are really enjoyable. First half ends when the hero, surviving a stab wound, bashes an unknown gang with superhero powers and he meets the guy who roams around the country in search of the hero who he considers as god! Second half begins with the guy curing the hero along with his guru. Then hero gets back to normality and realizes he is a village where everyone considers him as god. Then from nowhere a medical camp is set up in the village. Villain obstructs it. Then why the villain stops him and what happens next forms the rest of the story.

Thus this movie is clearly a disappointment and a negative step for mahesh's career.

I don't know why many people disliked this movie. Mahesh is at his best in this movie and he showed a great variation from his previous films. Can enjoy comedy at a good rate too.Even Anushka also posed as perfect for the role.Coming to the cinematography and choreography they are at their best. The main credit is to director. He proves his excellence but turning every scene into a comedy which keeps us interesting till the end without any bore. Movie will gain its pace definitely in some more days. I think this is also a treat to Tollywood which takes us somewhat different from routine movies

Definitely guys you would like it a lot if u go without any expectations at all.You will see Mahesh in a different angle than before

  • Khaleja is one of those rare films you can watch for n number of times. The dialogues and the plot are soo good. You need to watch the movie two times at least to appreciate the dialogues.! For me the best part is when you are watching the film again and realise you've missed this earlier and feel WOW..! The depth of the dialogues and details not being missed are the best part. I can talk about the film for hours. I wish khaleja was a big hit back then and wish people actually appreciate how well it's been made.!

this movie very nice in movie have acion, comedy, drama, some bit of romance one of best movie in tollywood the story is very good action and comedy is excellent.. i suggest to all if you see this movie you will not be disappointed very good movie, Mahesh and Anushka played lead role the acting is very good... and movie is will entertaining.. must watch Action Sequences in the movie are very Excellent.

Mahesh Babu who amazed everybody with his Uttarandhra dialect in his dialogue delivery in Pokiri this time uttered dialogues in Godavari dialect. He is simply superb in mouthing the dialogues penned by Trivikram. He is also exceptionally good in the action episodes and of course acting. You can see the hard work he has put in for this movie on the screen. He changes his body language for this movie. His costumes are cool and he used scarf throughout the movie and it helped in Mahesh Babu look different. Mahesh Babu shed a lot of weight and looks extremely handsome in the movie.

Anushka is good in the movie as an 'iron leg' lady. She has put on a little bit of weight compared to her recent outings. Prakash Raj is good as villain, but has a limited screen-time and has a conflict with hero only during the climax. Subbaraju is nice. Rao Ramesh is very good in a new get-up of a soothsayer and performed well with a controlled modulation. Shafi is fine. Tanikella Bharani, Dharmavarapu and Raghu Babu are adequate. Brahmanandam, Sunil and Ali entertain. MS Narayana is wasted. Archana did a small role. I fail to understand why Kota Srinivas played such minuscule role.

Khaleja movie has a divine element in it. Trivikram tried to balance the divine part of it by saying that there is a God in everybody and all we need is an intent to serve others. The aspect of killing village men by mixing toxins in water seem to have resemblance to that of Sahara (2005) movie. The entire first half of the movie is like a road-film where the hero and heroine bond with each other while traveling. The second half sports the main story of the movie.

Trivikram is a terrific dialogue writer and he gave his best dialogues to Mahesh Babu in Khaleja. Trivikram has a class taste while conceiving comedy episodes and he made sure that there are many episodes of such nature in the movie. Direction of the film is good in parts and screenplay should have been more effective. The beginning point and interval bang are good. Trivikram couldn't justify the second half with right content and tone. Trivikram should have ironed the script better and made it concise/effective.

The unbreakable glass episode of the movie seems to have been inspired by Sabrina (1955) movie (especially lady secretaries dancing on the glass to test strength). Dialogues by Trivikram are huge asset to the movie. Music by Mani Sharma is good in three songs (Sadasiva, Taxi and Piliche). Though Yash Bhatt is the official cinematographer, parts of the movie were also shot by KV Guhan (Athadu) and Sunil Patel (Hum Tum). Cinematography is very good and there is a visual theme for the movie. Fights by Peter Heins and Ram Lakshman are excellent.

First half of the movie is entertaining though there is no story in it. Second half should have been better. Climax disappoints. Plus points of the movie are Mahesh Babu (terrific dialogue comedy and superb characterization) and Trivikram brand entertainment. On the flip-side, the second half plays a spoilsport and movie lacks consistent tone.
  • I like the film Cocrpt and it's background music which was Awesome
  • I have just watched Khaleja after months of its original release. Director Trivikram Srinivas joined hands with Mahesh Babu again after the success of Athadu in 2005 and this time they came out with another commercial entertainer. Part of the storyline, i.e. people dying mysteriously in a village is similar to the Hollywood film, Sahara but it has been packaged in a way that it will be an entertaining commercial flick.

Mahesh Babu has done a apt job for his role as Raju. He looks perfect in every situation, be it a comical or a serious situation. His body language is excellent. Anushka performed well alongside Mahesh.Prakashraj as the villain has done a decent job and I feel Subbaraju been under utilized in this film.

Manisharama's music is good especially Makathika Maya and Boom Shakanaka. BGM is apt for the scenes. The songs are well choreographed especially Sada Shiva is well done.

Cinematography by Yash Bhatt and Sunil Patel is good. Action choreography by Peter Hein and Ram-Laxman deserves a mention although there are some physics defying stunts. Sreekar Prasad's editing is crisp although part of the second half could have been cut short.

In a nutshell, Khaleja is the usual commercial stuff packed with action, romance and comedy but for variety it's laced with environmental issues and a bit of religious beliefs.

This was disaster movie but when you see the movie and understand the content Then this was very good movie I Don't know how this movie becomes a flop the telugu people's are mad
  • If your a fan of mahesh babu then please watch it.. Full of entertaining movie
  • Warning: Spoilers
I don't know why this movie is not interesting, still every one in the movie are amazing...hero, heroin, comedians and villain.

Mahesh is Good @ his part of the movie with out story. He himself don't understand why he is doing the movie till end of the movie.

Anuska also played her role well. comedy part is Gd.

nice script could made movie better.

Though there is gr8 kick start with MAHESH, movie did not go well later part. nothing to takeaway from the movie to home.

Here and there scenes are Good but did not carried entire movie. Please don't go with high expectations definitely you will be discouraged
  • Mahesh Babu is back after a hiatus and the expectations have been high on this 'Khaleja'. Given the title controversy, the mileage was sufficient.

Story Sitarama Raju (Mahesh) is a taxi driver who comes to Rajasthan searching for a person's family. He chances upon Gemini TV person (Sunil) and reveals his story of coming there.

This also includes his encounters with Subhashini (Anushka) whose presence brings in bad luck and loss. On the other hand, there is Siddhappa (Shafi) who is sent by his guru (Rao Ramesh) in search of a god sent man who can protect the village from a death threat and extinction.

One thing happens after the other and Sitarama Raju comes across Siddhappa who believes that Raju is the man. Meanwhile, Subhashini's father (Tanikella) is planning to get her engaged to the son of GK (Prakashraj) who has got a motive behind it. How are all these people connected and what happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Performances Mahesh Babu is a complete show stealer in the film. He is highly energetic and his dialogue delivery stands apart. Unlike his regular mild approach with one liners, he rolls out flurry of words and entertains. As for his looks, he is handsome as ever and has made his presence felt strongly.

Anushka looks gorgeous and special focus has been made on her legs when it comes to dialogs. Her screen chemistry with Mahesh was neat and not much of a skin show from her this time.

Prakashraj was brief and he did his bit as required. Perhaps the etching of his character should have been more powerful. That would have given strength to the villain image and good climax.

The comedy track of Ali, Sunil gave few laughs. Brahmi was funny at few places, Tanikella was elegant, Subbaraju made his presence felt, Rao Ramesh was excellent, Shafi was impressive, Dharmavarapu and M S were brief. The others did their bit as required.

Analysis: "One who lives for his own self is considered to be dead. One who lives for others with unselfishness and love live forever" – Swami Vivekananda

This is the crux of the movie that knocks the doors of every heart.

How GK (Prakash Raj) leads his life with selfishness and how he breathes his last with pain and grief. How the villager Sidhdhappa (Shafi) holds faith in God and dies a painless death with pride filled eyes. How Raju (Mahesh) manifests God in himself with unselfishness and true love for others. The above three aspects build the ulterior message in the film. There is a symbolic scene of man's connection with God which holds conviction. When our hero asks for Rs 10 for himself, his wish will not be fulfilled. And when he asks the same Rs 10 with a wish to feed a hungry boy, the donor gives him Rs 100 and goes. Only unselfishness can see the bountiful God. Mahesh Babu says in a dialogue here, "I understood God. He is not hiding anywhere. He is there in every heart. He fulfills wishes only when asked for the well being of others. What the hell Rs 100 when asked for Rs 10…he will shower even lacks and cores". This message is packaged and delivered with all commercial elements.

The interesting part of the film is that hero never fights for his selfish possessiveness on heroine. He never fights to gain supremacy on villains. He fights only for the lives of others. Hence he becomes God.

But how Trivikram dealt his narration in bringing this story on to celluloid? How the aspects those really matter for the success of the movie are placed? The music is good but only 'sada Siva' is truly hitting the senses of audiences. That number takes position-1 among all the songs. 'Makathika Maya..' is OK to some extent. The song on Lord Krishna sounds good. Others are mundane. Background score is average.

First half is dealt with humor and the actual story starts only after 1 and half hours. Mahesh Babu made the movie hilarious with his typical dialogue delivery never seen before. Second half has some real material. Humor element continues here as well. But emotion elements are forced but not convincing enough. Trivikram seems to have inspired by 'Magadheera' with Rao Ramesh's part. Brahmanandam has got very small role. Sunil entertained very well. Anushka's iron-body characterization is also interesting.

Coming to screenplay, that is a bit complicated. Audiences find it a bit difficult to get connected. The introduction shot of Mahesh Babu is weak. The dialogs are good but here and there missed the grip and not up to the expectation. But on a whole the Trivikram-factor worked for this.

To sign off, watch the movie at your leisure, get entertained and also try to take some message into your life that can bring in some change in you and society.

    Bottom-Line: Watch it without expectations
  • No doubts one of best movie ever made with passion.

Remember this movie is made for entertainment purpose. Don't try to bring logic here.

    Jus enjoy the movie flow.

    Background music is awesome.

Trivikram dailogues and story telling is unique.

Mahesh Babu no comments he did well.
