Last week was poor, this is a little better, though nowhere near the heights of season 1. The relationship interplay is more convincing in this, the edge has been taken off to give a little more realism, particularly the relationship between Natalie and Clark which had become so extreme it was unwatchable. Now it is dialled down to distrustful, but reasonable. Other relationships too seem to be portrayed on a more sensible footing, at least from the individual perspectives of each of the characters.

The Ally Allston storyline is almost verging on Scientologist territory.

With the help of disgraced and pumped up Lt. Mitch Anderson. Ally Allston can finally take some of her followers to the other side of the abyss.

Only for Superman to rescue a few of them but Lucy Lane might be lost.

General Lane is the wrong man to interrogate Ally Allston as he has too much of a personal interest.

Meanwhile Jordan comes to the rescue of his brother. It seems the whole town has men being pumped on illicit superdrugs.

The story of Ally Allston is fine, almost a pastiche but way too many people take Lucy Lane at face value.

The Lana Lane plotline is lame.
