This is a short film that, at first, looks like every other teens-in-the-woods slasher flick. I won't go into the plot as there is a circular element to it, but it doesn't end as one would presume...and that's a good thing.

On the plus side, the acting is better than average for this sort of thing, and the gore effects are well-done. The story has an actual, logical plot to it, which is a nice contrast to most of these predictable short flicks.

On the minus side, one of the characters is so obnoxious that nobody would hang out with him, much less go camping with him. There's also a burn scene where 2 seconds of contact with a hot surface completely melts half of a person's face, and that's just not possible. I've had 3rd-degree burns, and this is just unrealistic.

Certainly worth a look, and hopefully a sign of better things to come.
  • Dead Mans Lake Is a refreshing horror short that bring us back to our childhood Horror scenario..! Dead mans lake is felt like a full length movie upon its starting itself..The movie tells about some tragic events that faced by three people in a weird forest. The movie start slowly and beautifully with eye catching locations along with a good chemistry between the lead characters. After developing a good plot the movie starts delivering what we expect from a horror flick.

There is an excellent twist in this movie that really made me to watch the whole movie once again..!

Final Word : An excellent movie ! It will give us a classical horror feast With a Good TWIST..!

Sex&Nudity : No nudity but mild love making scene.
  • The construction of film is its basic virtue. Or the twist. A camping story who, in the first part, reminds many others. A character seeming part of large gallery of zombies. A terrible accident and a lot of petards. And the wood. A film surprising for its unpredactibility. Great for details. Moving for the end. And for the feeling to see a sort of "Hamlet" end. So, just fine.
