The new religious horror film Rosario is getting ready to swallow your soul. Before it hits theaters on May 2, the film and Mucho Mas Releasing are hosting two terrifying events across the United States to prepare you for what lurks in the shadows of Grandma’s apartment.

First, from April 22 to April 24, 2025, there will be live immersive experiences located at three apartments across New York City to recreate the terrifying happenings in ‘Grandma’s Apartment’. Taking over units visible to passersby on the street, the apartments have become unique boxes of scares and unpredictability. All the apartments will be available for public viewing, in notable spots across the city such as the West Village, on Atlantic Ave., and in Washington Heights.

Protracted radio silence on the status of a developing project isn't usually a good sign, often hinting at bumps in development. Ever since Lionsgate announced in 2023 that it was rebooting its beloved Leprechaun franchise, not much has been heard of the project. Now, new reports reveal that the reboot movie that tapped Felipe Vargas as director has suffered a setback as Vargas has reportedly departed the project. While a director's reason for bailing on a project is often due to differences with the larger creative team, no reason has been given for Vargas's exit.

A consistent disappointment on the critical side of things, the Leprechaun films have been a top property for Lionsgate, thanks to a loyal fanbase. Save for the first two installments in the franchise, the subsequent movies have all been released direct-to-video. Regardless, it's proven a lucrative venture for Lionsgate, with the physical copies flying off the shelves.

Fans of the Leprechaun horror franchise longing for an update on the new reboot movie that was announced in June 2023 are in for some bad news. It's been more than a year since any update on the project. Now, Bloody Disgusting reports that Lionsgate, which has been working on the Leprechaun reboot, has confirmed that director Felipe Vargas (Milk Teeth)is no longer attached to the project.

The new Leprechaun film was announced by Lionsgate in June 2023. At that time, Vargas was confirmed as the film’s director, with the script being written by Mike Van Waes, who also penned the upcoming Lilo & Stitch live-action film. Roy Lee is set to produce the Leprechaun reboot. Thus far, Lionsgate has not announced who will be replacing Vargas as the film’s director.

What’s the status on Vargas’ Leprechaun movie, you ask? Well, Bloody Disgusting’s sources have learned that Felipe Vargas is no longer directing the new Leprechaun movie for Lionsgate.

Whoever ends up taking over as director, the next Leprechaun movie will be the ninth installment in the franchise. Mike Van Waes wrote the screenplay, with Roy Lee producing.

The animated film will find Ramos voicing Roberto aka Bob, who travels to Puerto Rico for a major construction job. There, according to the project’s synopsis, “he takes on issues affecting the island and digs deeper into what it means to build.

Bob the Builder is ready for his big screen debut.

The construction worker with a can-do attitude will be the subject of a new animated feature film from Mattel Films. Jennifer Lopez is producing “Bob the Builder,” while “In the Heights” star Anthony Ramos will voice the title character.

A twist on the long-running children’s series, “Bob the Builder” follows Roberto (aka Bob) who travels to Puerto Rico for a major construction job. According to the official logline, audiences will see Bob as he “takes on issues affecting the island and digs deeper into what it means to build. Bob’s journey will celebrate the vibrant and colorful textures of the Caribbean Latin nations and their people.” Felipe Vargas (the upcoming “Rosario”) is attached to write the screenplay; a director has not been announced.

Anime typically involves at least a small amount of fanservice, and this isn't always a bad thing. Fanservice is added to please the audience at a base level, and series like Neon Genesis Evangelion and Kill La Kill prove that fanservice can be thrown in — or even be a core part of an anime's plot — without taking away from its overall enjoyment. Josh Duhamel will join the ensemble of the survival thriller “Not Without Hope,” an adaptation of Nick Schuyler and Jere Longman’s best-selling book that will be written and directed by Joe Carnahan. Also joining the cast are JoBeth Williams, Quentin Plair, Terrence Terrell and Marshall Cook.
