It’s season finale time for networks, but Netflix, naturally, still has plenty of brand new TV and shows coming in May.
Jeff Daniels makes his TV return in the David E. Kelley series “A Man in Full.” That six-episode series is based on the bestselling book of the same name by Tom Wolfe. Per a press release: “When Atlanta real estate mogul Charlie Croker faces sudden bankruptcy, political and business interests collide as Charlie defends his empire from those attempting to capitalize on his fall from grace.” The series will also star Tom Pelphrey, Diane Lane, Lucy Liu, William Jackson Harper, Aml Ameen, Sarah Jones, Jon Michael Hill and Chanté Adams.
Additionally, comedy fans can get excited for a new special series from John Mulaney. The comedian is hosting a multi-night event, “John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in LA,” that looks to be part interview show and part man-on-the-street hijinks.

Ever excitedly awaited a new comic release? Then you’ll understand my joy upon hearing about the Blasfamous #1 comic’s new variant covers. Dstlry, the powerhouse behind this release, just pulled back the curtain on these amazing new covers. And believe me, they’re a sight to behold!
So, what’s the big deal about Blasfamous #1? This music industry horror-comedy series, penned by the incredible Mirka Andolfo, is set to launch this December. If Mirka’s name rings a bell, it’s because she’s the genius behind hits like “Sweet Paprika,” “Unnatural,” and “Mercy”.
Now, let’s talk covers. While Mirka provides the open-order A and B covers, four renowned artists have lent their talents to the variants. If you’ve been in the comic world, you’d recognize these names:

Previous Annecy Cristal-winner Masaaki Yuasa is set to direct an animated musical fantasy film based on the life of a 14th century Japanese playwright and theater performer. His “Inu-Oh” is being introduced at Annecy’s Mifa market this week and is intended to be completed in 2021.
The film is adapted from the novel “Tales of the Heike: Inu-Oh” written by Hideo Furukawa, and published by Kawade Shobo Shinsha. “Very little remains in the historical record about the Sarugaku Noh performer Inu-Oh, but with Hideo Furukawa’s bold interpretation of his story, Akiko Nogi’s script, and Taiyo Matsumoto’s images, it’s bound to become an amazing work,” said Yuasa. He said that he aims to make it as a “lavish musical incorporating modern-day music and dance.”
The project is produced through Science Saru, with Asmik Ace partnered as producer and distributor.

A photographer and his group set out in the dead of winter for the Alaskan wilderness to take advantage of the limited, but beautiful daylight. They are met by an experienced hunter and local lodge owner who instills fear within the group by telling them the legend of Maneater, a huge polar bear that has fangs and claws sharper than steel. This epic tall tale quickly becomes a real living nightmare, as the group is unaware that a bear experiment has gone wrong. The bioengineering company, Clobirch Industries, has genetically altered a polar bear so it can better survive climate change, but the end result is a relentless, deadly, man-eating, killing machine…

Unnatural is a creature feature from director Hank Braxton (Chemical Peel). The film deals with a genetically altered polar bear, who now has a penchant for human flesh. The film stars Allegra Carpenter (Argo), Sherilyn Fenn and James Remar. The film's first trailer is hosted here. The story takes place in Alaska. Here, a group of photographers and models are warned of a man-eating bear. Their warnings go unheeded. And soon, giant mandibles are tearing through flesh. This relentless eating machine will not be stopped, until local guides can intervene. The trailer shows more of the film's story. Characters disappear beneath the ice, or their body parts are strewn across the local forest. Also, the bear has little fear of human, nor of buildings. It trespasses wherever a human meal can be found. The full trailer for Unnatural can be found below. Director: Hank Braxtan. Writers: Ron Carlson and Arch Stanton.
