    Warning: Spoilers
This was an okay film to watch. It felt a bit sanitised to remove any possible offence or concern a parent would have watch their teenager watching this. It was also predictable and formula follow. Boy gets to know girl for who her dad is, boy falls in love with girl, girl finds out boy only got to know her for dad so dumps him, boy gives up everything to win girl back but still gets everything. It felt like it was trying to do a Ferris Bueller but without the effort If there is nothing better to watch then this is not a bad film. It is funny in places, amusing in others but its been done before better.

When watching this film it was a blast from the past because I grew up in the 90's. So to see the corduroy pant's, and disc-man along with the tape deck was fun. Plus it was nice to see a ROM-COM without too many sexual, or skimpy stuff. Favorite part is when the goth is running in the snow storm, and Tim Hitch's a ride on the back of the jeep haha. Well done!

If you want a boring, cheesy, no good acting "comedy" that has next to nothing funny about it, watch this.

Go look at those who rated this a high rating.. They only reviewed this movie = scamming to get this a high rating.

Has nothing to do with "good old school comedy" at all. Was boring from start till finish and had next to no funny acting in it.

Do yourself a favor and go see the profiles that have given this a high rating, they only reviewed this movie to get it on the list.
  • I went into this film hoping for the best from Vidangel, having been a loyal customer of their previous ventures with the film industry. Well, I have nothing positive to say about their first foray into making an actual studio film themselves. This movie is not funny and took itself way to seriously. I was hoping for some Ferris Bueller laughs but got absolutely nothing in return. There is a couple decent early 90s tunes in the soundtrack but it wasn't enough to keep me interested and to stop rolling my eyes back in my head from what I saw on the screen. Forget this one and see a real film.
  • Our family enjoyed the movie. It didn't go into dicey territory to get the laughs - but stayed clean and was still really funny. Loved all the throwbacks to the 90's! Good message about the problems of self absorption.
  • Surprised this movie was ever made this is comedy writing at its worst so unoriginal this movie was already made many times over this is the worst B movie directing and D movie writing and the cast isn't much to talk about but sadly its the writing that fumbled this entire movie the moments in this movie are so forced it unbearable i was close to abandoning this movie numerous times so unpleasant to sit through some people gave this movie a 9 out of 10 obviously these reviewers are unfit and should rid themselves of their computer there for never allowing them to publicly write such a shameful review/rating this is not a job for anyone who could honestly give this movie a 9 out of 10 i call rubbish! hogwash! simply put its drivel to the point silly. DON'T WATCH!
  • Growing up loving all the 80's teen high school comedies, I was excited to see one that was attempting to capture the magic of a character driven, coming of age romantic comedy, which I feel we haven't seen for a while. Tim Timmerman, Hope of America does just that. Set in the early-mid 90's with all the glorious music, hair styles, fashion, phrases, pop culture references, etc. If you're looking for a fun, light-hearted teen comedy that the whole family can enjoy, I highly recommend Tim Timmerman.
  • This has to be one of the best shows of the year. I really really liked it. I took my wife to it and it didn't just not disappoint it went way above expectations. When the show was over she turned to me and said "now that was a good show, I have got to let my friends know." I smiled because had to agree. It took me back to memories of high school in the 90's. I liked it enough to send my children... good show. You will be glad you went to see it.
  • With it's many interesting characters and good writing, this is a fun movie to watch.

While Tim Timmerman borrows some ideas from films like "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", it isn't a simple formulaic script but instead builds on a wide range of characters and sub-plots. Even one nemesis of the main character who only has one spoken line shows up at just the right times throughout the film for great comedic affect.

The production values are also very good for a lower-budget movie. The film was mostly shot at various locations in the community but each was interesting and fit the scene well. The editing and music was professional and unnoticeable which is more than you can ask from most small studio films.

I'll definitely watch it again and will be anticipating other films by the same creators and actors.
  • Eddie Perino brings Tim Timmerman to hilarious life in this comedy about high school in the 1990's. The movie is really funny and entertaining, warm hearted without being maudlin. The cast does a fantastic job. I can recommend without reservation that you see this movie.

Saw this movie at the Cape Cod Woods Hole Film Festival where it won the Audience Choice Award. No surprise. It's was a ton of fun for everyone! Glad to see it's getting out there.
  • I loved this movie! It is a really great and funny movie! when I saw the movie there was a lot of times when everyone laughed! One of the best movies i have ever seen all year! Highly recommend! it should defiantly go world wide! I wish i could give this movie 20 stars. It was very worth seeing!
  • This is a fun throwback to the 90's. Satirically shows the similarities between high school politics and the politics of our day. Highly recommend
  • This movie was all fun. A little romance, great 90's nostalgia and classic high-school comedy light-heartedness. Tim Timmerman, Hope of America is a throwback to the acid-washed jeans 90's and follows Tim as he realizes being the most popular kid isn't always the most important thing in life. I love this story, the throw backs, laughs and sweet moments are just a bonus. Must-see movie!
  • In a day of vulgar, gross-out comedies, it's nice to get a clean, wholesome movie that is actually funny. There are some GREAT comedic actors in this movie. The lead, Eddie Perino, is loaded with charm. His best friend, played by Andrew Caldwell, is hilarious. The love interest, played by Chelsea Maidhof, is adorable. And the security guard, Christian Busath, steals every scene he is in. For a low-budget, independent film, this one is well worth your time.
  • I loved this light-hearted blast from the past comedy. It brought me back to the 80's and you really fall in love with all the characters. The acting is refreshing and natural and the story line has you giggling. Great film!

    10/10
    Great
It was an awesome movie I loved it and I highly recommend it
  • My entire family loved Tim Timmerman! It is captivating both for the adults and kids of all ages! The actors did such a great job. I was especially impressed with Chelsea Maidhof who play Sydney Anderson. She had me convinced that she really was deaf! I recommend this movie, and I would definitely watch it again.

Such a great story with great comedic fun. It also shows a great character change in Tim to see him realize what's most important. A movie that I'd see with anyone. It also has that throwback to the 90's and high school feel that people can enjoy and reflect upon. Definitely 2 thumbs up.

I saw it last year, but looking forward to watching it again as it's about to come out on Amazon.
  • Our family thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie. It's perfect for all ages 11-90! The characters were ideally cast and we really liked the villain. So fun to hear the audience gasp each time he came on screen. Rumor has it that a northern Utah high school has started the assassin game since the student body officers saw a Tim Timmerman screening. It's a must-see movie you'll be delighted!
  • Took me back to my high school days. Love the chase scene at the end. We need to bring back the assassin game.
  • A nostalgic reflection of Utah culture in the 90's. Tim Timmerman is the lovable, relatable, and slightly mischievous friend that will take you on a fun journey and leave you with a great story. Definitely recommend.
  • Loved it! Would recommend to anyone who wants a great laugh.

Think Napoleon Dynamite meets Ferris Bueller's Day off. Tim Timmerman is a feel-good movie that explores the life of a charismatic teenager who wants to do it all. Timmeman, the protagonist, wrestles with teenage relationships, school politics, high expectations, and discovering his own identity - themes relatable to anyone who has been to high school. The director's style and timeless touch allows the audience to watch Timmerman as if he was their own student body president, regardless the age/generation of the viewer. A definite hit for a family friendly audience and a must-see for the high school comedy fan.
