    *** (out of 4)

Filmmaker Staci Layne Wilson, critic Staci Layne Wilson and actresses Chantelle Albers and Elissa Dowling are interviewed for this 18-minute featurette that takes a look at females in horror movies. This film can be found as an extra on several MOTEL HELL discs and it's title is aimed at the female killer in that movie but there's not too much detail given to that film. Instead, this documentary tries to take a look at several female killers from films like MISERY, BLACK Sunday, BASIC INSTINCT and even FATAL ATTRACTION. The "type" of female in a horror film is discussed as well as why females are getting more and more better roles in the genre. Overall this is an okay featurette but there's no question that the subject needs more time to really get into the material and at times the subject seems to bounce around a bit too much here. Still, horror fans will still like seeing the interviews and clips from some classic movies.
