  • Made by a micro cosmic cast and crev, whether or not they recorded this film on the campbell island in the perseverance bays. Tucker coves weather station site, or if the just call it perseverance island as a word of mistake, while they filmed it on the northern coast of the NZ north island, theyve done a good job.

It reminds me of a norwegian thriller from early 1980's called ''orions belt'', recorded at svalbard in the arctic, not the same plot but much of the same desolate nature, and gives you the feeling of being lost.

Its not a film to scream out loud about, bit if yur lost in the cold barren zealots life on one of the NZ satelitte territories then go for it. Made me do the virtual journey on wikipedia , google earth and windy to search out the premises of location, so when a film do that to a grumpy old man then its a recommend.

This is an interesting story and concept. It is convoluted and difficult to summarise concisely. The story unfolds at an extremely slow rate. So slow that there is an urge to switch off and walk away. But if you stick with it about half way through the movie some twists and turns are exposed and it becomes interesting. Though the pace never improves and the suspenseful aspects are never exploited. The film suddenly ends in very much an anti climatic manner with so many loose ends that it is extremely frustrating. Almost as though the film makers either ran out of time or money or ideas as to how to complete it. Could have been so much better
