This is not a perfect movie. But everything is special, the cinematography is kind unusual but beautiful. The lead characters are not the usual leads you can see in a typical Filipino romantic- comedy. The poetry type of telling of the characters experience is witty and beautiful. Everything is humorous and all the funny parts are done naturally. Until Empoy (male lead) became too creepy for me, no matter how touching the story is, we can't take away the truth that he is a a stalker. I actually lost my interest when I realized this in the last quarter of the movie. Until.. Until.. the ending.
I expected so much in this movie with all the tweets and Facebook posts I read that's why I was questioning myself, where's the part everyone is posting about, where's the part where I should cry because except of the fun feeling, the part where the male lead character died didn't even moved me.
And out of nowhere, I grab tissues from my bag because the tears are about to flow, I can't help it anymore. That ending part made me realized that it doesn't matter if he actually stalked her.. the important thing is that she loves him, but he left her, and she'd rather choose to be blind again so that she can see him.
I cried like baby. and hours after the movie, even days after the movie it still hurts deep inside me. I watched to many movies before but never, never did I experience something like that in an ending part. That ending scene is very emotional and very meaningful. The symbolism of what she did didn't throw away the need of crying or shouting to move people. *clap *clap *clap
I'm praying for more movies like this in the future.
