It's pretty amusing, but, face it, the Levys just watched Arrested Development and remade it. In that sense it's not as creative as people want to believe and about half as funny.
Why does this movie exist and why did I watch it? Well, to be fair, I watched the RiffTrax version which is funny. But, otherwise, it's an unmitigated disaster which would have been better produced, directed, and acted by kindergartners.
How did one of the worst shows ever on television get a reboot? Much like the story of "The Emperor's New Clothes," this is really bad stuff, but everybody seems afraid to criticize it. Poor acting. Not funny.
But kind of slow at times. Not as good without Eddie Murphy. And the word is Disney and the CCP killed more Uighurs making this movie than Cecil B DeMille.
Individual approx 20 min stories presented as an anthology. Most of them are entertaining enough. The Finale is predictable but well done. Stars interspersed throughout.
Very entertaining and keeps with facts in the case. Ironic that the AJC complained about the way their reporter is portrayed after the way they screwed Jewell over.
I'm not a fan of Sandler's usually vapid roles, but he's great in this movie. He nails the tragi-comedic role he's given and looks like the real deal. Can't turn this one off once you turn it on.
But a far cry from the original. Actors aren't as good and the plot is altered at the end just to be different...I guess. Not as fulfilling as the unbeatable first film.
Better than season 1. More tightly written...more action and less talking. Plus the one thing Season 1 was missing: hot lesbian action...although Ellen Paige's huge forehead was somewhat distracting.
Great movie about a time when American men weren't a bunch of metro-sexual hippies. Heaven forbid we ever have to fight a war like this again...we'd definitely lose.
Crime drama which trash like Law and Order/NCIS/Criminal Minds wish they could be. Thoughtful, provocative, well acted, with great character development. Must watch.
This movie is a remake of "Cat Women of the Moon." Which begs the question: Who thought that remaking a really bad movie into an even worse movie was a good idea? RiffTrax version is funny.
