The Wolf of Wall Street
(2013)

It's really a comedy about what excentric rich people and excess
Good comedy, good acting, drugs, sex and excess spending 💰! Very entertaining overall it's what everyone would think life is when you have nothing to worry about than spending your own money.

Encanto
(2021)

Great animation, awesome colors and catchy songs
Great message overall with great animations although is more magical fairy tale like than real life based, it is basically centered over family issues where every member has something special to share and you have to accept your family with pros and cons above of what other people think about you, it's not a master piece but a good decent one to view for any ocassion.

Mr. Robot
(2015)

Incredibly unpredictable! Super Entertaining
It couldn't have a better ending, even though we might have expected a much more extensive closure, the way it ended was beautiful, In 4 Seasons you get everything you would expect for a Masterpiece, it's sad not being able to watch more but you end up more than satisfied with this journey, this really brings to public what the lives of a most computer enthusiastics out there and what is posible to be happening in real life without us even knowing, people with a secondary life, secrets so well hidden, worldwide evil corporations, everything is so well explained that you definitely begin to think about yourself and your data, if you're doing enough to protect your files and your life. Acting from Rami Malek is superb, it's really going to take a while for him to take off the Elliot mask, Darlene, Dom, Angela, Price, Whiterose, the series is filled with characters excellently made. If you like Drama/Action/Love/psychological thrillers series, this is perfect for you, you won't regret it, this is a must watch series..

La Jauría
(2019)

Intriguing, suspense, misterious.
The plot was good, the script was fine, at first everything was entertaining, first 7 episodes were decent, even though it's hard to understand Chilean Spanish and I'm Mexican, I had to put up subtitles, all hype goes to the final episode, but the final episode really ruined it, I expected a lot more and the actions of some of the characters really ruined up everything that was building around it, it gives a small glimpse of what could become a Season 2 but I doubt it, because in my opinion the final episode ruined the whole story, the lack of answers in the end makes me think it was ended purposely, it could have ended without a clear answer and that would be fine for a Season 2 but it was cut abruptly and separated the whole plot from what could have been something way bigger ended in a local plot with the easiest end.

I rated 5 because for an end like that, made me feel like time wasted. It was just too easy for that end.

The Magicians
(2015)

A complete mess! No solid storyline! Changes course on every episode! Missing points everywhere!!
Drugs, Sex, Smokers, Drinking, even Rape and Fetish like situations, it is just a complete mess the entire time, I expected a lot more since a few reviews go high but after watching Season 1, it just changes course on every episode, there are thousands of incomplete points from start to end, you expect to see a solid magicians society well structured from the beginning but it's a complete mess that no one cares telling, the characters come with complete random personalities and the storyline completely gets set aside sometimes just to add up sex scenes or even orgies, it is clearly some kind of twisted version of HP because it copies some key points but leaves loose ends everywhere, on episode one you will hear "you come here to be taught magic what you do in the real world with it, is your problem", I mean even the principals of the magic school don't know what is going on, I would not be surprised if at some point they would say something like "Dude, I'm just the principal of the school, what do I care if the world we know is about to end? I'm just doing my job" that level of messy this series is. I saw the complete season 1 but I'm not willing to watch more and be dragged out to see more loose ends and a script written by someone on acid, LSD Or any other hallucinating drug. I am a fan of fantasy, sci-fi, thriller or mind blowing complicated stories but you better sit this one out if you are looking for something beautifully connected.

I have rated 4 because I understand some people like to be entertained by some sick non sense teenage wildest dreams stories/scenes but while it might be somewhat entertaining I'd rather see something else because it just becomes more and more ridiculous on each episode.

Funny and Intriguing
If you ever wonder about how far capitalism would reach if VR world's were to be pay-to-win like cellphone apps instead of open and free world's created by infinite imagination, this would be a realistic scenario, story and characters are fun, with not much future world being shown and solid personalities in the actors, you are brought into a world where people can be kept in a VR world instead of passing away into eternal darkness as far as we know, if you are able to afford it of course, the story from ep 1 to 10 it's back and forth from a comedy to an intriguing story of how come Nathan being so young ended into this Heaven VR world when his life suddenly changes from what he thinks he got it figured out to dead and trapped inside this VR world.

Great comedy, good story leading and short episodes for those who do not like 50-60 minutes episode series.

Transcendence
(2014)

I expected more!
Interesting at first but later on it becomes kind of predictable, it's a good sci-fi movie to watch but not something you would expect to be mind blowing, I won't tell much about the movie but I really expected more of a Movie with such great actors, maybe the story was not that great at all.

Apocalypto
(2006)

Would have wished for it to be more culturally accurate! Mayans were much more than that!
Mayan society was much more than a bunch of brutals as depicted in this movie, even though the storyline was all about a single familiy drama being hunted by much more organized and bigger tribes which makes it interesting for those who do not know, I thought it would show at least how the mesoamerica natives used to live like and how civilized they were before the conquest era, however, this movie shows how a bunch of brutal natives fight and enslave others for fun or offers to their gods, in you know history, there's so much more than that, that is one of my dissapointments, it is known that only those who were worthy were offered as sacrifice and mayan would fight each other in games and combat just to be worthy and honored to be offered to the gods, not just for power and cruelty as shown in this movie.

Ad Astra
(2019)

Poor realism, Physics thrown overboard!
In a world where you can travel to the moon for vacations, go to Mars and even send an entire crew to Neptune but still struggle and use space monkeys, can't control Moon pirates who raid nothing with explosive guns in the moon, can't find a way to rescue/replace a top-secret team in a secret station in Neptune so the solution is to nuke them and destroy everything and everyone! Where light speed is still a dream but a single person can go to Neptune and back to earth, live and still have time for a morning coffee. In a world where Brad Pitt is son of super bad ass Tommy Lee Jones, Brad has daddy issues but Tommy lost it because he knew he couldn't go back with nothing so is left in space and Brad goes back easily traveling 46 thousand million kilometers in a super slow space ship. We need an honest trailer YouTube video for this!

Kingdom of Heaven
(2005)

Entertaining for a person who's not easily catched into a story!
It's a great story with decent acting and cast, it's not a masterpiece but for my wife who's not easily catched into watching a full movie, it caught her attention, I've seen it a couple times and would again, it's a good movie about history regarding Jerusalem and religion.

I would not clasify this as must see but if you like medieval storylike movies, it's worth watching.

A Beautiful Mind
(2001)

Great movie!! Superb acting by Russell Crowe and Paul Bettany
First time I ever see this movie, I rate 9 out of 10, entertaining, keeps up pumping the action and suspense throughout the movie and even thought some things were expected or obvious it does not ruin the movie since I've seen a lot of stories and can easily deduct what's going to happen or what it's likely going to happen, anyways, make sure you don't miss it, it's not a masterpiece but a great and must see movie if you haven't.

Django Unchained
(2012)

Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio Combo is an excellent duo, they eclipse Jamie Foxx
The storyline is decent, it keeps you entertained and interested throughout the movie, however, Christoph Waltz wins over Jamie Foxx by leading the movie with his spectacular performance, Leonardo DiCaprio enters the scene after the middle of the movie and just complements Waltz by making the movie very exciting.

it's awesome to see these 2 actors in action plus Jamie Foxx who doesn't let you down when it comes to action scenes, most of the movie he's silent but his face just describe lots of emotions!

Good choice if you like actions movies plus intriguing stories!

The Departed
(2006)

Everything inveils like you would not imagine!
It starts slow because you need to build each character storyline, but once you're on the train, the storyline catch you easily, filled with great actors and Jack Nicholson leading, you really expect and awesome movie and in fact, it is, it's nice to see Leonardo Dicaprio again doing an excellent role here, Matt Damon, Mark Wallbergh, all very good actors.

This is a very nice movie! it's not the usual back and forth in time story so, watch and enjoy the ride.

I did not give 10 because you need to watch the movie carefully otherwise it becomes messy and I would have loved to have a more detailed ending!

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World
(2003)

Full of action, good effects, a storyline to catch you easily
I really enjoyed this movie, the special effects were awesome, Russell Crowe and Paul Bettany are such excepcional actors, the storyline really gets you into it, it is a must see movie if you enjoy war movies based on the Napoleon Era.

It is very detailed when it comes to showing what it was like back then, the difference between slaves and noble man.

I would like like to write an extensive review however, I would prefer to leave everything up to you, See this movie! You will not regret it!

Avengers: Endgame
(2019)

It's a whole mess of heroes, they could easily make 2 or 3 movies for the ending.
A thousand things unexplained just get all heroes from previous movies and put them all in a big heroic legendary fight, they won't even wonder how the hell they got back they just know they are there to fight like it was all planned out. I honestly expected much more but since Marvel had to put an ending to this extravaganza they had to end the storyline abruptly it's like making a masterpiece of painting throughout the years and in the end grabbing a knife to stab the whole piece with holes and leaving everything to the viewer's imagination.

Dag II
(2016)

Grabs lines and storyline from Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers
I liked it just as well as the first one but this one had more action, however, the first one had an original storyline and this one didn't, if you analyze the storyline after the middle of the movie it's just the same as Saving Private Ryan, a mission or objective is to save 1 person, then when you finally get to her you end up staying to protect instead of a bridge, a village full of people, stole the idea of the Bell tower with a sniper being shot with a tank, stole the idea of creating a bottle neck with explosives to block the street, stole the idea of the last stand structure, even stole the character of the rookie worthless soldier running through the streets with ammo aka Upham but instead a girl. I felt like I was watching low budget Saving Private Ryan, even the commander said a few words to Oguz as in the "Earn this Ryan" before dying. In one scene they stole a popular and final quote from Band of Brothers where a son asks his father if he was a hero back in the war, but instead of replying that he served in a company of heroes, he says that he served one.

I agree with other low rating reviews, the movie is not thrash for a low budget but stealing a lot of scenes and quotes from other movies is just not right, the high rating should be because the sense of nationalists that just vote high because it's Turkish, I mean it has better effects that my country movies but I would still vote low if the movie sucks even if it's my country.

For the rating you come with super high expectations and came out pretty disappointed.

Watch the first one then forget about the second, it's not worth the disappointment. If you want to watch low budget Saving Private Ryan then go for it.

Dag
(2012)

Back and forth in time
For the average rating I expected a little more action, the storyline is fine, 2 rookies find themselves in a difficult situation where as always the commander sacrifices himself in order to save them, however, the action between scenes takes a lot of time and the ending is kind of predictable, I saw this because I wanted to see Dag II and indeed it is a must see if you want to understand part of the storyline of the second movie
