First Signal
(2021)

Good grief
How can anyone with a working brain cell rate this above 1 star?

I gather the budget was $250 for the entire film... $100 for the military costumes, $50 for the reused footage from news services... note that the G7 meetings shows 2 prime ministers from the UK The other $100 was to hire the hotel conference room for the filming In 20 minutes in and about to ask the aliens to take me away.

Will & Grace: We Love Lucy
(2020)
Episode 16, Season 11

Just brilliant tv
This was A clever way to make all the young people say... who is Lucille Ball... and then sit in lockdown and watch.

I ordered 2 box sets... just to do that and reminisce... although I'm not from that era I still remember Here's Lucy as a kid... well performed and the bonus of Lucie Arnez in my favourite Lucy scene was fantastic.

This would be my all time favourite episode of all 11 seasons

Will & Grace: It's Time
(2020)
Episode 18, Season 11

Really disappointing
Seriously after 11 seasons you expect something special... this was really bad... rushed through and really silly concepts that shone badly on the stars.

Safe
(2018)

Stumbled across and binged in one sitting
Loved this! Second Coben series after The Stranger can't wait for more...

I do have one issue though - after the stabbing which was I think day 3 by day 5 Pete is up and around again?!?! They were big knives and would cause big deep incisions.

The West Wing
(1999)

There are a few things....
The wedding.... where were her sisters... made no sense for her sisters not to be there....

Stockard Channings hair....who the hell was the stylist and how does it jump around from one episode to the next...

Nicole Robinson..... totally under credited just love her Margaret!!! What a character!

Hunters
(2020)

Fantastic - I loved this
I'm binging a lot of TV at the moment as I recover from surgery. Watch the ads for this and waited for it to drop... half way through episode 8 and I haven't stopped watching... it is great television and a great cast. It is a bit violent though so be warned for that. Oh and I don't give a stuff about political leanings I watch tv to escape... this did the job!

Avengers: Endgame
(2019)

I loved this... best way to say goodbye to a series
I just loved it.... absolutely! A walk down memory lane in the best of ways... that 3 hours went like a "snap of the fingers"... there were tears and there were cheers and then there was finality!!! Goodbye to The Avengers as we knew them... and loved them

Instant Family
(2018)

Yep true to fostering
We loved this!! We sat and watched it as a family - a foster family and so true that we feel in was mirroring our lives... only difference was the birth mum story. So worthwhile!! Fantastic!!

Beach Rats
(2017)

How much time did I just waste???
Possible spoilers.. I'm sorry but I don't get it... what was the whole vaping scene about?? What the... it was just a nothing scene. Did the camera person just run out of film!!! The movie just stopped... and then the credits rolled. Harris is where the 2 stars come into this... the piercing stare and the great body, whose character was explored a little wee bit.. but was there any other character in the film... cause no one else had an iota of exploration... truly a waste

Bohemian Rhapsody
(2018)

Loved it loved it loved it
This film was a triumph - ecstatic music, humour and deep emotion. Not only did Rami Malek nail Freddie but the casting and make up for other band members was amazing. The Live Aid stadium scene was breathtaking. What a celebration of life. A lot has been said about the lack of Freddie's sex life, a lack of detail in his diagnosis with HIV/AIDS. Freddie announced to the world that he was HIV+ and had progressed to AIDS 24 hours before his death. So the lack of explicit details is how he lived his life, therefore it's how the film portrayed it. Can not find enough stars to give this - ready to go again

This Is Us
(2016)

Absolutely awesome
Where does one start to write a review on this show???

It is outstanding television with writing, story lines and acting at its best! I have laughed and I have cried and I have gasped in shock.

Mandy Moore, Chrissy Metz and especially Susan Kelechi Watson are real stand outs.

My partner thinks it's like Brothers & Sisters (I have noticed Ken Olin's involvement) and I think it's a bit like Parenthood.. maybe it's a mix of the 2 of them.

We are binge watching it now and I'm so happy to see that there are 3 seasons listed on IMDb.

Really not surprised at the reaction and award nominations it has received.

Do yourself a huge favour take some time...

This is (really) Us

Charlotte's Web
(1973)

Fantastic take on the book
This follows the book so well... my 8 year old is entranced at is as I type.

I would like to say that the Parental guide on this is WAY over the top!!! Templeton 'is like he is drunk after the county fair' because he hiccups or burps... seriously... maybe this is because he stuffed his face and nothing to do with alcohol consumption!!! I read this book at the age of 8... and I was never scared!!

The actors that have lent their voices to this are beyond reproach... and just their voices bring back memories of yesteryear.

I would recommend this movie to anyone that has read the book or studying it at school!

Interstellar
(2014)

Are people mad??
I don't get the reviews of this film! The last 30 minutes or so brought back memories of the bizarre ending to Knowing. What was destroying the Earth? How was the lead saved near Saturn? How did 23 years pass in the time on the planet? How did our leading man keep his tan for so long?? I'm also not sure why when the face visor was cracked was there a struggle for air or why it took Brand so long to find him... They were only walking distance and down a small hill! I loved Christopher Nolans Batman trilogy but something went wrong here. It was a horrid piece with too many inconsistencies. I know one should suspend belief in a movie but seriously! Sadly, I will never claim back those 2 hours and 49 minutes. At least previews were decent!! This was reminiscent of The Tree of life just so bad!

Star Trek Into Darkness
(2013)

Loved it... Great Re-imagining
I loved this movie... L O V E D I T!!! What I have read here in some of the reviews those seems to be a lot more J.J. bashing than anything else.

Someone has written that this movie is against the vision of the Roddenberry's Star Trek universe... where renegade Starfleet officers were not likely...

To this I ask have you seen Star Trek: Insurrection... I am sure that revolved around a plot line of a renegade admiral wanting to 'displace' an entire race called The Baku.

Therefore there has in the past been Darkness in the Star Trek Universe... no matter who the director...

This was fast paced and actioned packed... can't wait to go and see it again!!!

The Dark Knight Rises
(2012)

A Great movie... Excellent.... however...
I loved this film... don't get me wrong I thought it was fantastic... however there were some parts of the movie where continuity was lost...

I know it is 8 years on ... but Wayne Manor had been fully restored... and looked as it did in the first movie in this trilogy... that didn't make sense, and that continuity was highlighted when Alfred said to Bruce.... "...when I heard your first cry in the room upstairs....." That room should no longer exist.....

That being said.... GREAT job by Anne Hathaway... and I LOVED IT!! Visually stunning and a ride from beginning to end... And check out the updated bike.... cool on a turn
