A wonderful movie that is great for the family and gives the feel of reading through the classic children's book. I hope they continue this series.

Infrequent funny spots and not even half-way into the movie was just wanting it to end. The story and script are so poorly written/edited that it even makes the stellar cast seem like bad actors. Through the entire movie, you just sit there waiting for it to get better, but it never does. There is never a connection between Ferrell and Wahlberg, neither comedically or as partners on the police force, nor is there a connection with the supporting cast. The entire movie seems disjointed and boring with a few funny parts thrown in to keep you from walking out on the movie. Talladega Nights and Anchorman are two of my all-time favorite movies; however, this movie doesn't even come close. Wait for it to become a discount rental.

The actors, acting, and storyline gave promise to a five-star movie, but the director single handedly drove this movie into the ground with his inability to direct an action movie. The action sequences where nothing but less than one second clips of probably great stunts and action that were meshed together in a nauseating glimpse of a first grader making his first attempt at an action film. How disappointing when you are given actors and a storyline that are driven to nothing but an explosive theatrical performance. Now throw in an inexperienced director that is given full reign of interpretation, and you now have a great movie that is single handedly brought to it's knees. Very disappointed.
