The best part is not only the cameo of the original film but how they worked in the late Harold R into the film. They also tied in the events of the first film into this. Granted, there were some lines that made their way into the film because of the time we are in, but overall, it was well done. The ending manages to bring so emotional connection for those that grew up with the original film.

The other great part is how many tie-ins to the original film there are. Between the villains and marshmallows, it was great to see these because they connected to the original film.

Personally, I believe that the references and ending "cameo", make this a better sequel than the original sequel.

Outside of Rauch and Larroquette, the casting is just terrible. Most of them overact nearly every line. Then again, it could be the writers. But then again, poor writing would not account for terrible acting in every episode, and all the time. Or at least, that was my initial thought.

As the season goes on, the writing becomes worse. They try to get cheap laughs but the genuine funny is few and far between. And having the lame laugh track audible for every flat joke, makes the bad jokes stand out.

If it were not for Melissa Rauch and John Larroquette, I would wish that this show be one and done.

The cold opening was taken from an episode of The Big Bang Theory when Sheldon called the cops because someone hacked his World Of Warcraft account and stole all of his gear. Then, the crime scene was taken straight from Sicario.

As far as the issue of domestic violence in the story, which is of course a serious issue, did the show provide the same trigger warning at the beginning of the first episode? In that episode, I distinctly remember a wife beating her husband repeatedly. It ended with her stabbing him repeatedly in the neck. It is no bigger or lesser an issue now than it was when the show began.

Netflix has a documented history of butchering characters from other sources. I give Tim Burton credit for not doing that here. I was not expecting a murder/mystery series but this worked well. The writers left very few clues so that you don't know for sure who the villain(a) is until closer to the end. I personally prefer there to be Easter eggs pointing to who that is but this leaves it open to be anybody.

Regarding Jenna Ortega, I think she did an amazing job. Considering she is 20 and portraying a 16 year old, she brings a lot of experience and skill to the role. At the same time, it also makes you appreciate how well Ricci did in the 1991 movie. She was only 11 and did a remarkable job and still portrayed some innocence.

Ortega does a great job showing teenage angst and rebellion against their parents, like so many teens do. Understanding the two are portraying the same character but at possibly different ages, allows one to believe in a continuance of the character; like the series The Crown.

To start with the positive, I thought the way it was shot, as though trying to look like a continuous shot was interesting and well done. Some of the choreography made it seem like it was going to be a really good action film. However, as the movie continues, it becomes clear that they essentially ripped off Hardcore Henry and Shoot 'Em Up.

What really started to make the movie take a bad turn was eventually, the dialogue started to get really cheesy, like a bad voiceover of an old Godzilla movie. Add to that, some really CGI explosions and fire and it takes away from the film. It's as though they blew the budget on the editing and had a 12 year old add fire.

The first season wasn't bad and focused less on non-sense drama. Even though this isn't my genre exactly, I can follow for the "magic" and some of the character development. This was one Netflix show that I was looking forward to another season. But once again, Netflix does what Netflix does. For season 2 they add in more unnecessary drama and pull complete 180° spins on character development. What little action there is, it is now shot poorly and the editing is bad. Does Netflix not have enough good writers to be able to make multiple good series or seasons? If the show gets a 3rd season, it will be the last.

There is a solid main story and plot. However, Netflix does what Netflix does and ruined it with a bunch of side character BS. I don't care about certain characters being a certain way, but Netflix has a way of spending too much focus on it and it ends up doing a disservice to the show. Half of the episodes are good to watch and the other half are painful. Which makes sense when you have 6 directors for 10 episodes. This attributed to the story feeling sloppy and unclear. Sometimes, I feel Netflix caters to 10% of their audience at the risk of the other 90. Probably why they have lost over 1 million subscribers this year.

Can we please stop giving Kevin Hart movie roles? There are lots of actors that play the same character in every film these days (Ryan Reynolds, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson), but none are as annoying as Hart. Just a high pitched, whiney gag reel.

Woody Harrelson was the best actor in the entire movie and was likable.

Watching it for the first time and I wanted to turn it off half way through. Just all out ridiculousness. At times, they just ripped off previous Marvel movies but made the characters weaker. After WandaVision, I still liked Wanda. This makes her unlikable. Even the music was generic and boring; nothing enhanced the movie. Feels like they tried too hard and ended up making just a weak movie.

Possibly the only thing worse than the acting is the directing. But everything is bad; script, editing, delivery, etc. It's not the worst, just really bad. And don't get me started on the weapons issues.

This episode is one that truly showcases how bad Murtaugh's character has become. Just a jerk and moronic. It's like the network saw the beginning of the end.

The first two seasons with Riggs were the best and it is a shame how the wrote him out. They could have just let him ride off and be happy. But replacing his character with Cole was not the worst part of season 3 because Sean Williams Scott did a good job in a more serious role. The worst part of season 3 is how they wrote the part of Murtaugh. He became too goofy and a jerk. It's like they wanted to make Damon the focus after firing Clayne but they ruined his character.

The first season was the best as there was always this backstory mystery the character is trying to solve and played a vital role in the present story. After the first season, that goes away as does some great supporting cast. During the next 3 seasons, there is this awkward flirting between the main characters that never goes anywhere but is always shown. The last season loses it when two more characters are replaced. The addition of Padilla makes it worse. His character is constantly annoying.

The things enjoyable about this film are the concept of the journey and some of the action, although brief and spaced out. It plays out as expected; 1 by 1 getting knocked off and trouble at every turn. But what really hurts this movie is the lack of backstory, which I usually think there is too much of often. Noomi Rapace is such a good actor, that she deserves better.

While Ryan Reynolds place his normal role, what is most impressive is the actor playing the younger Adam, does such an amazing job at being a young Ryan Reynolds.

The plot is solid and the main actors are good, but they deserved better production. The editing and choreography are sub-par and the twist is lame. Nevin and Delacroix are poorly written and Nevin is bad all around; just a poor actress. It feels rushed and unfinished.

This could have been a decent 2hr movie or 2 part story. No need to be 6 1/2 hours long. Too much back and forth between past and present. It is like they set out for a series but did not have a strong enough story. So they made a great opening and then 5 episodes worth of dialogue before the end.

Netflix has put out some great movies. This is not one of them. Boring plot and dialogue. At times, the characters act like they are intentionally trying to make a lame murder mystery TV movie. I would rather they save their money and efforts for better movies than waste it on making bad movies just for the sake of more content.

The episode wasn't great. But what made it worse was that when looking at reviews, it was obvious that IMDB was skewing the rating by ignoring or removing ratings that were unfavorable.

I like the idea and concept but the writers have these people making the worst decisions. It makes me lose interest from episode to episode. I'd almost rather skip to each season's finale.

I have yet to see a movie since Saw that had this much action and drama take place from one room or one shot. Jake's best performance since Donnie Darko. So captivating, which is amazing considering you only see one main character. You really feel for him.

The action and plot were par for the course. But the biggest redeeming quality and best part of the movie was the musical score; that part is great and elevates the movie.

Unless you enjoy TV shows bashing police, stop after season 7. The show is very funny but loses all of that after the 7th season.

I'm usually early to pick apart bad gun play and fight scenes, but this did not rely on camera breaks to accomplish fight scenes. The fight choreography was a mix of John Wick and Jason Bourne. But the story was a slight rip off of Crank. I think the protagonist deserved better. But the fight scenes kept me intrigued even though the ending was inevitable and predictable.

I really wanted to like this. But it starts with dialog that is just awful. It's poorly written and the delivery makes the dialogue worse. Keenan Michael-Key and Thomas Jane are funny together and that is one of a few redeeming qualities. And the thought that a biologist would suddenly be so proficient in combat techniques, is crap. It makes the second AVP film look good. This is the worst of the entire franchise.
