It’s not all that common to come across a show on Netflix that’s so unbelievably crass it makes you question whether cancel culture even exists. Paradise Pd, which often occupied the streamer’s Top 10 TV Shows list in 23 countries, is one of those titles. First debuting on the platform in August 2018, the animated adult comedy series brought to you by Waco O’Guin and Roger Black, co-creators of Brickleberry on Comedy Central, pushes every societal boundary imaginable.

Netflix has a history of creating some incredible, memorable and creative shows, regardless of how strange or adult-oriented they might be, and “Paradise P.D.” was a perfect example of that as the show was beyond raunchy and hilarious as it was surprisingly creative at times. Overall the show will forever be referred to as a carbon copy of “Brickleberry”, the first animated show from Roger Black and Waco O’Guin. Personally, I’d say that there were enough major differences from “Paradise P.D.” and Brickleberry that made each character from the respective show separate from their counterpart but considering most of the

In today’s TV news roundup, OWN announced it will honor the late Cicely Tyson with a special re-airing of “Oprah’s Master Class: Cicely Tyson,” and NBC announced the premiere date for “New Amsterdam” Season 3.
Dates
Discovery Plus will stream “If I Can’t Have You: The Jodi Arias Story,” a two-hour special on the infamous trial involving Jodi Arias, who was convicted of killing ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, beginning Feb. 12. While the trial points to her guilt, the documentary sheds uncertainty on the ruling by granting viewers access to Arias’ personal diaries, unseen police interviews and testimony and interviews with those closest to the case. The special, which includes both Arias and Alexander’s loved ones, seeks to uncover if Arias is truly a murderer or a misunderstood woman who acted in self-defense.
NBC’s medical drama “New Amsterdam” will return for its third season March 2 at 10 p.m.

For the first time ever, "How I Met Your Mother" will be at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2013. The CBS sitcom is one of 11 shows produced by 20th Century Fox Television that will feature at the big event. Other programs expected to have panels include "Bones," "The Simpsons," "Sons of Anarchy" and the new series, "Sleepy Hollow."
Most of the shows included on the list are Sdcc veterans, but "Himym" is a big exception to that. As a sitcom, it's not exactly standard fare for the big festival of all things nerdy. But the convention has increasingly become about promotion -- and "How I Met Your Mother" can use that going into its 9th and final season. The full "Himym" cast -- Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan -- are scheduled to attend, along with executive producers Carter Bays, Craig Thomas and Pamela Fryman.

Exclusive: Comedy Central has picked up freshman animated comedy Brickleberry for a second season to premiere in fall 2013. The second-season order is for 13 episodes, up from 10 episodes for the current first season. Brickleberry, executive produced by Daniel Tosh, has done well airing behind Tosh’s hit Tosh.0 on Tuesday. The animated comedy, which revolves around a group of dysfunctional park rangers at a second-tier national park, premiered on September 25 to 1.7 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in adults 18-49. In the wake of comedian Daniel Tosh's rape joke controversy earlier this month, it was reported that he was working fast to edit similar jokes out of the pilot for his new animated series, "Brickleberry" before it premiered at Comic-Con.
While Tosh may have made the necessary edits, a new preview clip shows that rape jokes might have been the only thing that was considered "off limits." A plethora of forest animals doin' it -- quite consensually, it seems -- makes up most of the clip. Tosh has also previewed shorter snippets of "Brickleberry" on his show "Tosh.0," most of which contain the same kind of raunchy humor.
"Brickleberry" premieres on Comedy Central this fall. Tosh, who serves as Executive Producer, also voices a bear character named Molloy. According to Inquisitr, his was the character who was comically "raped" in the original pilot.

Comedian Daniel Tosh has already apologized for directing a rape joke toward a female audience member, but now he may be scrambling to make sure another set of rape jokes don't get out.

The pilot episode is slated to premiere tonight at Comic-Con in San Diego, and the source says editors and producers are working against the clock to remove jokes that, in the wake of the ongoing controversy, seem indefensibly inappropriate.

20th Century Fox Television has announced its 2012 Comic-Con schedule, which we therefore present to you here. Not that they’re offering much that we cover here at SciFi Mafia, except for one of my top two shows. Hey Wait A Minute – Argh! No American Horror Story! Well, given that they’ll probably be shooting, and that Ryan Murphy has indicated that he’d like to keep as much of it under wraps as possible, that’s probably not a huge surprise, though it is a disappointment.

[1] By now, everyone knows that Terra Nova's premiere has been pushed back multiple times thanks in a large part to its effects. You'll have to wait til the pilot airs September 26 on Fox to decide if the delays were ultimately worth it, but you can get a peek at the show's overall look right now. A new video explores the show's massive and really quite beautiful set. You can't accuse the crew of lacking for ambition, and considering that snowballing production costs were one of the problems that plagued the series early on, it's nice to know the money actually went somewhere. I caught the first half of the two-hour premiere at Comic-Con [2], and while there's room for improvement on the story side, I wrote that "f nothing else, the show looks absolutely gorgeous." After checking out this clip, I think you'll agree. Watch the video after the jump....
