Richard Chamberlain acted wonderful as the cardinal DE Bricassert who fell in love with Rachel ward as Maggie who loves him to be her husband. one of the best series ever made. highly advised to be seen.lovely landscapes particularly the beach scene in which Meggie walks through the seashore so disappointed and surprisingly his man of love comes to visit her and a very warm passion takes place between them results the birth of her son.
