There’s a terrifying amount of scare-centric programming this October, whether it’s being broadcast or streamed.
Paramount+ has announced its “Peak Screaming” package, which will encompass scary movies, kids shows and originals. Amazon, of course, is releasing four original Blumhouse films this month: Bingo Hell, Black as Night, The Manor and Madres. Peacock may have the largest cache of Halloween goodies, none more tasty than the latest installment of that most seasonally-appropriate of franchises, Halloween Kills. It debuts on October 15 on Peacock and in theaters.

Japanese creators have the uncanny ability of making nonsensical and preposterous themes and notions seem coherent, and in the process creating very entertaining titles. This tendency becomes quite evident in some of the anime series of the latest years, as the “Monogatari” series, “Kill La Kill” and “Assassination Classroom.” “One Punch Man” is also a distinct example of the tendency.
The anime is based on the homonymous, ongoing web comic by One, which begun publication in 2009. In 2012, Viz Media remade it into an extremely successful manga that sold over 4,5 million copies by 2014, and in 2015, Madhouse produced the anime series, which consists of 12 episodes.
The script revolves around Saitama, a human so strong that can vanquish any kind of enemy comes his way with just a single punch. And living in City Z, where monsters appear frequently to cause disasters, he has plenty of chances to do so.

American Horror Story: Coven has just added yet another member to its already enormous cast: Leslie Jordan.
While best known for his comedic turns in shows like Will & Grace and The Help, Jordan also played in horror flicks like Madhouse and Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. Like all Ahs casting, Jordan's role has not been announced, but he tends to play Southern dandies. With Ahs set in New Orleans this season, that seems fitting. I am guessing that he will play the husband of Kathy Bates' Madame Lalaurie, a real-life New Orleans socialite who was said to have imprisoned and tortured her slaves in the 1800s.
The complete show summary, according to Hollywood Reporter:
American Horror Story: Coven tells the secret history of witches and witchcraft in America. More than 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials, and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction.
