  • After having an anniversary dinner in an expensive restaurant, Amy and Kevin Shepherd go to their car that is parked nearby. Out of the blue, they are stabbed to death and a man, Justin Green, helps the CSI team with his statement and coat since the evidences have been wiped out by the rain. They investigate the case and find a surprising result. Meanwhile, Catherine and the District Engineer Paul Newsome investigate the collapse of an old apartment building that killed three dwellers. Catherine suspects that Paul was negligent in his work.

"$35K O. B. O." is an episode of "CSI" with two storylines. The plot relative to the couple stabbed to death has a surprising conclusion after a spectacular investigation. The other one, relative to the investigation of Catherine, is not so good. The way she treats the engineer is prejudicial and not according to his expertize. My vote is eight.

Two strange plots. The first involves an attack on a couple as they supposedly walk to their car. The woman's throat is cut, but there are all kinds of distracting elements that I still have not figured out. Katherine is investigating the collapse of a small house where three elderly women were killed. There is a building inspector on the scene and she immediately begins to attack his credibility. I never thought he was on the make, but she treated him like dirt from the beginning, ignoring his expertise. I'm not sure why she has moved into this kind of incarnation, but she certainly is unlikable. Her character is able to fend off the stuff her own team gives her. Why did she dislike this guy so much? Not a stellar episode.

    Warning: Spoilers
Unless I missed something, this episode doesn't make sense. The original theory was that the husband was stabbed first, then the girlfriend was stabbed, breaking off the tip of the knife and then the husband was stabbed again. Once it was solved, they found that the husband was killed and then the girlfriend was cut last. If that's true, then why did it look like there were two separate weapons, stab wounds before and after the knife was broken? Seems like and error in the script.
