  • I'm not a comedy movie kind of guy. But these two girls had me LOL at times. Great cast and Covid memories done in a fashionable way. Very funny. Remember, Don't ever watch a comedy unless your already in a good mood.

This movie which takes place during the height of the pandemic plays off the cliches, behaviors and fears during the pandemic and to my surprise it worked.

An indie comedy that shows its budget as a majority of the movie takes place during the car ride and makes up for it with the natural chemistry between childhood friends Whitney Call and Mallory Everton. The two play off each other creating hilarious moments off of simply situations from getting a penis pic accidentally texted to them to dealing with a parent of a student.

It was worth the rental as I did find myself laughing because I was able to identify with some of the situations I was forced to find myself in during the Covid pandemic.
  • This is probably one of the dumbest movies I've watched lately, but I did laugh quite a bit through it. Not a lot of substance and there's nothing to think about. It's perfect if you need a movie like that!
  • OK I don't know who the two young women are in this movie but apparently they've done other movies. Starts out kind of slow but it's funny. Definitely some one-liners coming out of this movie.

*If you think Covid is a hoax may not like this movie.

Not the family film that it easily could have been. Huge potential and honestly major letdown based on Mallory and Whitney's typical family friendly gig. 10+ mentions of 'penis' around a sexting incident (recurring discussion). Joking about a lizard and woman banging. Discussion of dogs mating, filming the mating and then of a dog seeming pleased after mating. Multiple mentions of vagina / vaginal around birth and menstruation. Discussion of using toilet paper / sticks during menstruation.

Could have been hilarious. Instead, it's littered with a bunch of trashy talk. Some of it redeems itself by the end of the film, but still feels unnecessary and detracting from a hilarious spin on the pandemic and the ways that different people responded to it.

Absolutely worth the watch. This captured the best aspects of adult sisterhood/friendship perfectly. Sweet and silly and supportive--the relationship here is so positive and delightful. Hooray!!

Of course, this one's not for everyone. It's a movie about the realities of living during a pandemic, of being a woman, of adult life, of dating, and of the retrospective absurdity of 2020. Some of the themes & topics & jokes aren't for kids. Old Studio C fans should approach knowing that this isn't a starched, white button-up shirt (meaning that there are several mentions of anatomy, an innuendo or two, and a few jokes where birth and death are used as punchlines). Some of the other reviews here might imply that this movie is a broad deviation from family-friendliness. But while I wouldn't watch it with my conservative grandpa, I never got the impression it was being lewd. It simply felt like honest adult conversations. Like, I'm pretty sure that I've had a slightly different version of all these talks/jokes with my own sister.

And really, it's the beautiful representation of modern, adult sisterhood that makes the movie so fabulous. One of the most down-to-earth and genuine depictions of female friendship that I've yet encountered. It's basically "Girls vs 2020: The Movie" and I adored it. The writing isn't legendary, but it feels perfectly real (in a comedy-typical, slightly exaggerated way). Not much plot. Not the deepest script. Not a cinematic masterpiece for the ages. Rather, it offers 80 minutes of wholesome sister vibes, and that's everything it needs to be. Charming, funny, endearing, slice of life, simple, genuine, road-trip joy. Fantastic.
  • If you want to see this because of the roles they played in Studio C, just save your time and avoid this. Not the wholesome, silly fun you would be expecting.

I love this so much Instantly ordered a copy from Amazon!

Ok I don't understand the reviews of people 'not a family film' ...no s#$&! It's not supposed to be!

Whitney and Mallory were awesome as sisters!

A road-trip film during Covid- in a very humorous way, added drama of mice babysitting and a guy wanted...really well done.

It shows the humorous side of Covid in way I've not seen before.

Well written, well directed and well shot (cinematography)!

    👍👍👍👍 all around!
  • Sad to see the mighty fall Mallory and Whitney are best known for their Roles in studio C It's clear in this movie that they need to go back to writing school not only does this mimic some past attempts at studio C scripts it was more dirty than it should've been it lacked any family value and the reason I gave it two stars was for effort it's clear they're trying to break free from their studio C personas however this was a sad attempt I went in this thinking that it would be funny and I'd be in stitches however this movie was like an apple of hope only to find disgusting vile worms in the middle good luck on the next adventure I will not be watching another one of their film.
  • Definitely had me actually LOL. They really hit the mark with the Covid experience...though one could argue it's a little soon to be making jokes about Covid. On the other hand, you gotta laugh so you won't cry I guess? If you're looking for a goofball road trip comedy with female protagonists for a change and a lot of cultural relevance this is for you!
  • "Stop and Go" (by some of the old cast from Studio C) is not the wholesome family-friendly movie you might think it is. After scenes talking extensively about shoving things up a woman's privates, getting "Dick Picks" on her phone, talking about sexual encounters, we walked out and got a refund for the family.

Specimens of the human race, but its a race, part fleein, avoiding and rescuing, in a car, no, actually several cars, road trippin to save their nana from the reaping new virus called novel covid 19 that has hit grandmas nursing home facility drivin from albuequirkie,NM to somewhere WA up northwest

as a grumpy old man that likes to devour silence , watching this yap yap yapping two young adult female in their car , feels like getting my ear drums soacked with taco pepper sauce...BUT... they are quite witty in their sense of humour and other demeanors, like when pp'ing, ppe'ing and peeing, and that both me and you can reckon some of their actions like done by ourselves, like the fuel pump, accesing public loos, and going empty of protection gloves. So some relations you can find

by all means , its a cute pair of actors, small cast, and the perimeter of shooting locations are small, and it has a lot of verbal fun that kicks out other sars cov19 movies, its relatable, its witty and its made on a dime.'' and its allright'', ringo said.

I laughed at loud at the trailer, and continued laughing for most of the movie. If you like the trailer, this movie will be for you. It was exactly how a road trip with my sister or best friend would have gone during Covid.

I'm writing this review for anybody interested in watching this movie as a family. There is no option to add parental guidance to this page.

Rented Stop and Go tonight for our family movie night. We were so excited because we are familiar with the cast and their work. We watch them almost every day.

Stop and Go is a whole different experience though. We had to stop our kids from watching the movie 30 minutes in because it was so inappropriate! The worst was when one of the main characters is sent a d*** pic, and the anatomically correct term for said body part is mentioned at least twenty times. There are other bodily functions and organs mentioned and sexual references made throughout. And there's a huge problem with a group of mice that, though not seen, is described in graphic detail and very disturbing.

It was a bizarre road trip, and one I'll never take again. I hope their next venture is a little more successful.
  • I'm guessing some of the other reviewers have never been on a road trip with their sister, because this movie was SPOT ON. My sister and I laughed till we cried. "Jefferson's birth story" nearly killed us. A fantastic buddy comedy - specifically highlighting sisterhood and female friendships. Loved it.
  • This movie is just what happened during covid nothing new... all the cliché of covid is in there... to soon this is not funny.

Actors are hilarious in Studio C and Freelancers; but this movie was cringe and painful to watch. Very uncomfortable; stopped watching 1/3 through movie.
  • In the last two years believe me we've seen ev-ry-thing... This one had us actually laughing out loud. These two are magic together-so funny! A lot of this had to be improve.
  • Loved these girls in Studio C! I was hoping for more clean comedy from them, but was disappointed. There's a significant amount of inappropriate humor.
  • Really funny! Felt like the crew, creators, and actors from Booksmart did a lower budget film about living through Covid. Stunningly good depiction of what it is/was like. It only made me more confused by the negative reviews. Funny and really well done!!

Funny, listening to whale sounds to calm our female adventurers on the way to rescue grandma from a nursing home & possible COVID exposure. Not sure what a TP baby is. Movie time is mostly spent with them in their car talking about male & female anatomy & sex. Judging from the explicitness I hope most females don't think of relations primarily as was bandied about. The COVID humor was pretty spot on except that millions died & just as many will have lifetime effects so is humor appropriate? I don't know, except, I think about Nagasaki & Hiroshima where hundreds of thousands were incinerated & just as many painfully died from radiation so would a humorous movie with that as the background be right?
  • Seems as if the director said, "ok do this" and that would be a scene in the movie. I spent $3.99 for wasting 80 minutes of my life. I believe I can write that $3.99 off on my taxes for a charitable donation.

    Funny
This movie felt great to watch and had me laughing out loud alot. These comedians are great and can't wait to see what they do in the future. Not for kids.
  • Seriously - You'd think they were paid by the word. And thought they were very funny.

Some of it was. But not funny enough.

Speaking of enough words, apparently I didn't use the quota in this one.

These two actresses had great comedic chemistry! Didn't realize until end of movie that they're real life childhood friends.

Lots of great one-liners, along with some crude humor (of mice and men;) made for an entertaining movie. Nice to see a female lead comedy written by the actresses themselves. Such a rare treat.

    Bravo ladies!
