Venom59705 February 2021That was stunning. The action was phenomenal. The tension was unbelievable. The music was completely perfect. And the fortune read during it all, rose it to something beyond a 10/10.

and_mikkelsen23 April 2023Amazing episode!! I was actually genuently surprised about how good it was as the episode went along! There were a feeling of tension as the episode slowly became more intense until it culminated in a iconic final part!
Chrollo instantly became an intrigueging character! The final scene with the fortoner tælling, imagery, action and soundtrack created an experience that gave me chills and goosebumps! The energy is overwhelming! Absolutely iconic moment in the show! Overall a very dark episode with people being killed in rather brutal ways!
This show continues to get better! Really has come far from the child-friendly beginning! -
elijahescobedo-981365 February 2022The first four minutes are dire that lead up to this amazing orchestrate that Chrollo puts on. Fortune teller Neon runs away from her bodyguards who are protecting her from the phantom troupe. She ignorantly befriends Chrollo the head leader, for a entry into the auction. Later at dinner Chrollo asks for his fortune. While reading a tear-jerking fortune depicting his comrades death, he cries. Shortly after dinner he retaliates with a massacre for the requiem. The song played "requiem" during the bloodbath is perfect. Too bad I can't give this episode a 20/20.

From the visuals, to the change of trajectory... this is so unique from everything else that you've ever seen, yet it fits into the show so beautifully. The characters are able to show what true Nen users can do, and it is both scary and exhilarating at the same time. I don't think you will find a fight that is as fun and exciting as this in any other show. I can't even name a series off the top of my head aside from Demon Slayer. And don't blink, because this fight moves FAST!! It only makes it all more dramatic in the best ways possible. Alright, now stop reading this review, just go and watch it!!

tiiillleerrr22 June 2022Perfect characters. Perfect theme. Perfect development. Perfect tensity. Perfect and just cool Nen abilities. And absolutely PERFECT music. This episode is clearly just perfect all around, just further shows that the York New City Arc is up there with the Chimera Ant arc.

So the leader his tale will start know specially since he believe in the ghost's.. the only way to make him open his eyes and full power is to let him lose what he most care for " his power"
And so after this im sure he will open a whole new world.
And from here and on i will be writting filler words just to fill in this word count .. after all one want to talk about what happen in this episode and since its episode anyone will not have mach to say specially if its a 20 minute episode ... unless its a final episode or a critical episodes one will talk a lot becouse all the story and ideas will be showing on this episode ... but i just cant understand thw owners .. wrutting a full report on only one episode ... nah its just killing the other people and not helping them to comment. -
BlueEyeCinephile17 January 2024The episode was perfect. It started calm. I had no high expectations. But then suddenly everything flipped. The pacing rose quickly. The setup was amazing. The music really got along with the animation. It was a brutal start of an even more brutal battle. The moment the troupe members were told to go wild was epic. It was a complete surprise, a perfect revenge. It was really in the way Uvo would wanted it to be. The episode was a shock itself. The dialogue was great. The action even better.
This was the first time we've seen Chrollo in action. His character introduction was perfect. The other troupe members were truly shown in their ''real nature''. The assassins introduction was very cool. Especially Silva and Zeno. I really hope we get more of Nostrade family in the shows, because I think the mafia is a really interesting theme that could be furtherly explored. It is very satisfying watching Kurapika slowly get closer to Nostrade guy and proving him loyalty through his actions.
If we sum up the characters are very well written. The story has its vibes. This episode felt like we are reaching the absolute peak of Yorknew arc
The episode is a clear 9.5/10. Nothing else said. -
The1FilmCritic13 January 2024I'm recently watching HunterxHunter for the first time and finally there is a climax. This episode is an absolute epic conclusion of everything that happened till now and wow I'm speechless.
So now the emotions aside, what makes this episode so epic for me?
-Chrollo is a good looking, absolut evil but still really moving character. I don't get it how they managed to creates this feelings all at once in me, but I love him. And I really like his look here; way more than his usual one.
-The Troupe finally gets to do something significant and not only sitting and babbling. And what they do is absolute crazy. I was at the edge of my seat wondering what was going on on the screen.
-The soundtrack was a real banger and I mean it when I say that. This episode already had a very artistic like atmosphere but then they dropped Mozart on the scene. Never was Lacrymosa used this perfectly before.
The following can be consider as a spoiler: They really played the most famous Requiem while telling "This is our Requiem for you" what a brilliant move.
I love this episode and I think it will stay with me forever.
