The fact that CBS-owned Showtime revealed at the end of last month that it was developing a U.S. version of Paramount TV and Viacom International Studio’s Argentinean comedy 100 Days To Fall In Love is undoubtedly a coincidence, but it also sums up what the two companies need to do globally following the long-awaited decision to merge.
There has already been huge focus on the merger from a domestic point of view, including what the C-suite will look like and how the various domestic assets will work together, but both businesses are also global giants with CBS generating around $2.5B in revenue outside the U.S. last year and Viacom generating around $2.2B.
Below, Deadline looks at the different global strategies and what the merger will mean internationally for the two companies’ slew of foreign divisions as they rebuild the House of Sumner.

Spoiler Alert: This article contains details about the Season 14 finale of Supernatural.
The penultimate season of Supernatural closed out on Thursday with “Moriah,” a hellacious, reality-shaking episode that shares its name with the Biblical mountain region that was divinely designated as the site of Isaac’s sacrifice in the Book of Genesis. The knives were certainly out in the intense episode which began with familial division and ended, essentially, with the end of the world as we know it.
The show’s family of characters are divided by the out-of-control actions of Jack (Alexander Calvert) and the proper way to respond to a reckless hazard who also happens to be a close compatriot and has sacrificed parts of his soul to save the Brothers Winchester, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). The two Hunters feel the conflicting tug of their emotions and the savage imperatives of the situation. It’s a struggle for Sam,...

David Wenham on set of his directorial feature debut, 'Ellipsis'..
In the second part of his interview with If, David Wenham chats about his recent roles in 'Wake in Fright', 'In Like Flynn' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales'...
When David Wenham was offered the role of the police sergeant Jock Crawford in the miniseries Wake in Fright he initially recoiled at the idea.
As a passionate admirer of Canadian director Ted Kotcheff.s seminal 1971 movie based on the Kenneth Cook novel he thought the idea of a remake was ridiculous.
Wenham had watched the restored movie twice, at the Sydney Film Festival and at the Chauvel cinema, rating it as a visceral experience and an incredible piece of filmmaking.
However he changed his mind after reading Stephen M. Irwin.s script for the Network Ten two-parter directed by Kriv Stenders.

Syfy has cancelled its drama series "Hunters" just days after the finale of its thirteen-episode first season.
The series, executive produced by Gale Anne Hurd ("The Walking Dead"), follows government agents fighting a secret cell of alien terrorists. It scored both critical derision and low ratings over its run, making its cancellation unsurprising.
"Hunters" was one of several original scripted science fiction series Syfy has pushed out in recent years in an effort to recapture its former glory. So far it has mostly been a success with both "12 Monkeys" and "The Expanse" scoring strong critical notices and solid enough ratings to score third and second season renewals respectively.
