  • I watched "I hate kids" first, then watched a sports drama after... I've had more laughs watching the drama. Plus it's all bad with this movie: story, acting etc.

Dont boost up your expectations about comedy these days, then you wont be dissapointed about this movie. i had a few laughs, probably were noone else in the theater would have, but overall its really just boring and not good enough. there are no depth or truthfullness in the characters,if its the acting, the directing or the story i dont know, its just not good enough.

the storyline do have potential, so i guess its the actors or rather the desperatly seeking casting crew, that hasnt read the script thouroughly enough to pick the right horses.. the music are also a great part of comedy, amnd this is a catastrophy of a musical score.its dull, tries to make the wit wittier, but fails very badly.

but its alright to see some familiar faces on the screen again, but you cant expect an a every time. i can for sure say that i will not see this flick again, so i abstain from making any recommendations.
  • The movie had some funny moments. The acting was good, and it was almost a great movie. There was room for more memorable moments. It was like every character was being held back from their full potential. I think the sister could have been awesome, but she just fell short. The end came quickly and made you wonder if you missed something. I wanted more connection and character interaction from the movie.

So, I was hoping to find a good and decent movie to watch with my little brother (a college dude not that little ya know) this weekend, we had our delivery, comfortable chairs set and our beloved soda drink ready to watch this movie.

Well, long story short the movie is not funny at all I did not laugh even once, so outdated jokes thrown here and there, The kid (Julian Feder) did not have one melancholic (miserable) face, he was always smiling and just smirking while parting with his father (Tom Everett Scott), the bride (Rachel Boston) seems like she is acting for fun, she did not take the role seriously, and one last thing the CGI scenes were too cheap and unrealistic I was embarrassed when watching this with my little bro.

I do not recommend this movie to any fellow decent watchers out there, no idea why this movie has a 6.7 rate, it really did fool me and my sad brother, he is next to me while I am writing this review, in the hope he let out some steam and hope to get him to laugh.

    Meh
Pretty corny. Humor is mediocre and story is boring. I looked for something mindless, and I nailed it. Still wasn't happy with it though.

Update.. it got worse...lowered from 4 to 3
  • Very boring, bad plot. There's no way anyone could legitimately give this 10/10. Never laughed once. It has some good actors, but the writing is so bad, it's hard to watch,
  • Looks like low budget. OK story but no surprises. It's comedy, so you don't expect serious acting, but even so, acting is only fair.

There were some laughs although not anything that breaks you up.

Nevertheless, I don't see why so many bottom votes (1 star) or for that matter top votes (10 star). I've seen far, far worse. The director had enough sense not to run anything into the ground.
  • Boring jokes, I expexted more. Not sure why this is rated 6,7?

There's not much to write about this movie. Very simple story with a predictable ending. Each character has a charm to keep you entertained and the pace moving.

A sweet story of a successful author discovering an element within himself when a forgotten encounter comes back to interrupt his otherwise perfect life.

By the way - the authors house is a must see!

Watched it because it's the only Marisa movie I haven't seen... What a waste of time! She's only in it for three minutes tops. The rest of the movie just sucks. I've learned recently to not trust ratings & reviews here. Look at the "User Ratings". Sooo many "tens"! Artificial!
  • This movie is really fun! Great cast and there are a lot of laughs. Tom Everett Scott is really great and all of the actors work well together to make the movie really enjoyable. Watched with my family. Entertaining for all of us. Some really funny bits and nice to watch a comedy that isn't overtly raunchy. I recommend it.
  • Good watch, could watch again, and can recommend.

This has some quality low level actors in it, and is all delivered very well. The movie clearly presents one movie then shifts to another one as the story's initial twist occurs.

It's not a great movie, but it's solid and a very touching movie about families and relationships without being too pushy about it's message and preserving the humor.

    Dull
Calling all of the Hollywood extras and unknown actors to the stage please! You know, this has to be the first movie I have seen where NONE of the jokes were funny. I should have taken that as a sign and given up. After sticking it out to the end I have to say this was not the worst movie I have seen. But it was the most lamest hands down. I would not recommend it and I myself will never watch it again, if that says anything about this one at all.
  • Some really funny moments. Well acted. It was like a postcard for Los Angeles which I liked. I liked the happy ending
  • This movie is worth watching. it depicts the realities of the deadbeat dads of the modern American Man. The whole connotation "Just get your dick wet" and "Toot it and boot it!" Is completely exemplified in this movie.

This movie does have a positive reality to it. It shows that some dead beet dads have the ability to turn their lives around, but that's highly ever unlikely, especially in the world that we currently live in.

The whole trend of just sleep around like animal is the worse societal trend that has ever happened in the USA history, but who gives a heck! The world does't matter, especially since its the end of the world! Young wild and just screw your life over!

I created an IMDB account just to write this review. This movie was beyond corny. I wish 0 stars was an option. The plot doesn't make sense. Why would he call all the women first? But then decides to call the last one? Dumb dumb dumb.
  • Go check it out if you like random comedies with random scenerios and people you might know.
  • I loved Fabular, black humor and totally without purpose, I love ... Laughing alone at Fabular's boring and very weak jokes... Very silly, very cute MS, these little films that involve love and redemption between parents and children soften my little heart...
  • It was entertaining, not amazing, but a good ending. A fun movie
  • Very funny film and good for all ages. I thought the actors were very strong. I also liked the ending!!

Was entertaining enough with heartfelt message. Enough laughs throughout to were it didn't become stagnant.

Laugh out loud funny and suitable for the entire family. Great performances from the cast and a delightful script. I highly recommend!
  • Very funny. Flirting with Disaster type comedy. Some very hilarious moments with Tituss Burgess. Love the SNL actress with flame thrower and kid character.

This movie was so funny that it had me screaming. I love it and highly recommend it!
  • This movie is by far the funniest movie for singles or couple adults. I love the fortune teller who has a strong mindset of what's happening around Los Angeles, California and I also like the part when the main character, a teenager, and a fortune teller we're going on an adventure to find the teenager's mom. I love the jokes that the characters make and some employees who are the big fans of the fortune teller. This movie is a "must see" for adults who don't want to have kids.
