Too Many Political Episodes

I've been watching this show from the start and read the other reviews from time to time. Others don't seem to like Dylan McDermott because of his previous villain roles. I have never seen any of those other roles so have nothing to compare this one too. I have to admit that I like the Remy character much better than Jess, he's not as brooding and morose as Jess was. I am not a big fan of Julian McMahon and kept seeing Dr Christian Troy from Nip/Tuck.

So now with the new season the other male agent "left to be with family". Why do they keep getting rid of the other male agents? Hopefully the producers will wake up and bring on another male, because right now it looks like the FBI version of Charlie's Angels with Remy and his three Angels. And please, please, please, stop with the political themed episodes already! What's next? The raid on Mar-a-Lago?

New Agent Season 3,,,, HORRIBLE

I mostly liked this show from the beginning, then they started losing actors, which was a bummer, but I still liked it until the new agent in season 3 came... she is horrible! She is always sulking! She looks pissed all the time. She acts like she owns the place and knows all! There is no chemistry or camaraderie with her and anyone else. PLEASE bring in someone with a little charm and personality!

I was hesitant to watch this but my family have really grown to like the storylines AND the regular characters... were looking forward to learning more about then as it goes on. Keep up the good work.. can't wait to see what's coming up!

Dylan McDermott = bad choice.

Stole that title & first line from another review.

It's the exact wording I intended to use & (no surprise to me) here's this review & a lot of others agreeing.

I hated to see Julian McMahon leave, but actors are human & have their own priorities & career choices. That's surely understandable. How a show handles these changes will vary. Sometimes I like the choice & may even feel it's an improvement.

Not this time. Dylan McDermott is the worst replacement character I can recall.

Alexa Devalos

I find her character so annoying, so much so I'm no longer going to watch the series. The rest of the characters are great.

This person described her best: Does anyone else find Alexa Davalos irritating?

I (F/40) find her intensely annoying. That swishy hair, demure walk, subtly flirty but holier-than-thou pained and victimised expression, low-pitched breathy voice (she reminds me of the annoying woman in Seinfeld's puffy shirt episode)... I find it very difficult to believe her character is at the centre of all these momentous events -- not because of how it's written but because of her pathetic, cringey acting. Anyone else feel this way? I'm finding it difficult to watch the show because of her.

More PC nonsense

The story plots are often quite preachy. The episode that showed ICE agents rounding up children for deportation, using race as the criteria, hit on a theme that is quite popular among the PC crowd, with the added twist showing ICE agents posting to a secret racist internet site. I know such sites have been found among border patrol and perhaps ICE, too, but it is not all-pervasive.

Another show highlighted the psychological consequences of school shootings. A valid subject, but presented in a preachy, unrealistic way. The act that the main character is "Native American" is a subplot frequently worked into the story lines.

That pretty much sums up many of the plots. The writers seem to go out of their way to highlight social justice issues. If it were not for the fact that the shows are on different networks, I would swear that the writers are swapping ideas with the Fox show "Deputy".

Julian McMahon's replacement not a good idea!

Dylan McDermit is a great actor, but I still see him as being the bad guy after his role in Law and Order Organized Crime. He just doesn't fit the part. It's to soon. They need to re-think their decsion on their leading actor. I miss Julian McMahon/Jess LaCroix. The way he left the show was unexpected to say the least. Killing Jess off was just not the way to go. I will continue to watch FBI Most Wanted as it is well written and I absolutely love it! Though I will always be saddened at Julian McMahons descion to leave. Jess LaCroix, his immediate family and girlfriend were the heart of the show. FBI Most Wanted will never be the same without them.

It's true that it's not the best action drama out there but it takes time for a show to build its way wn confidence. Its not a bad time killer.

I really enjoyed this show so far. People need to give the characters time to grow on you. Love the lead actors they chose for this Show, they are all favourites of mine from other projects, especially Nathaniel Arcand! We need more Native actors in lead roles like this. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to season two.

Actor wants to Leave Series

An actor wants to leave the series, so the writers get together to plan his exit. "Let's do something original, let's kill him off." You have got to be kidding me. That has been done a million times. The FBI transfers people all the time. Why not transfer him or medically retire him due to the shooting or have him retire due to the shock of the shooting. In any of the scenarios he could come back as a guest star. However, killing him off probably seems easier because they don't have to think too hard.

So they replace the lead guy with Dylan who was very very recently on the Law & Order series. I keep picturing him as Wheatley. Bad move. Was really enjoying it before and liking his new found romance with his girlfriend and his daughter. That's all gone. Now we have former bad guy Wheatley turning into a good guy is a matter of months.

After watching 4 episodes, this spin off FBI is better than expected. Julian McMahon plays a more human than usual character with toughness and sadness. Tjis series should have a season renewal and continues to grow further.

Boring

This was just a waste of time. I was hoping for a new take on the FBI serial. But nope. As others have said it is a rehash on old stories. I can't work out why the others are there yet, they don't seem to help the story along or add anything to the group. There is certainly no chemistry. I was just bored, I even left the room for 10 mins and forgot it only to return and had no trouble seeing nothing had happened. And the dramatic music is annoying when they are talking. Why is it there??? Wont be watching anymore, hopefully it fades in to the ether.

The music is too loud. Actually it is more like pounding random notes than actual music. It starts out loud and just gets louder and louder and louder while the actors are speaking! Why? Why? Why? Can't hear the dialogue and it is very annoying. PLEASE STOP!

I liked it if you liked FBI ,Chicago PD ,law and order basically work by dick wolf then you will like this simple as that as far as I am concerend .

I mostly wanted to watch this because I love Julian McMahon and was excited to see him in something again. He was truly great in Nip/Tuck (the later seasons got stupid, but that wasn't his fault....) but I am finding his acting to be subpar in this show. I think it's the script though, not really him. Some of his lines are just very stereotypical of a "cop" type show and nothing to write home about - there is only so much he can do with cheesy dialogue. With that said, if you go into the show not expecting anything too deep and something somewhat formulaic and entertaining, I do like it and I find myself coming back week after week. I quite liked the first two episodes, then it sort of lost my interest with a few in between, but now I've loved the past 3 episodes (beginning with the ICE raid crossover episode). Anyway, if you go into it just expecting some entertainment and nothing too deep, you will probably like it.

Not Terrible But Could Be Better

Don't mind the violence but getting close to the same type as Criminal Minds which went too far with the weird and creepy.

I like Dylan McDermott so this change should be good.

Need to get rid of Alexa Davalos. She apparently does not realize this is a cop show, so her soft voice and sultry moves don't belong here.

I like this show better than FBI. Jeremy Sisto and Sela Ward are amazing but they're not in it enough and the leads are boring. FBI Most Wanted has Julian McMahon and since I saw his FBI episode last year, I've been counting the days til this show premiered. I especially loved the pilot and don't know how people could give it a 1 when Henry Thomas was the guest star! Come on people, it's Elliot from E.T. ! Didn't you see that commercial at Christmas when E.T. came back to visit Elliot and his family??? Why are IMDB reviewers so heartless sometimes? Henry Thomas is a legend and Julian McMahon is yummy so please reconsider those 1 ratings!

Has potential

Looking for a new cop show. So far it has my attention. You can't make a decision on the pilot. The only part that bothered me was the mention of Optic Neuritis as an eye infection treatable with medicine. Well that's NOT true, it's a sign one has MS. I know because I had 2 bouts & I have MS. I will definitely give this show a try.

Alexa Davalos, speak up!!!!!

Why does Alexa Davalos's character talk like that. It's like a loud whisper. No matter what happens, her volume never goes any higher. It doesn't make her character mysterious it just makes her annoying. I have to turn the caption on just so I know what she's saying . There's also the matter of that stupid look she has on her face all the time. The character is lame.

Good procedural

If you like Dick Wolf shows, this one is good. The best part of the show is the acting chops of Terry O'Quinn and Julian McMahon, and their complicated relationship. Supporting cast is quite good. It works for me .

Quit virtue signaling and cramming bs down our throat. Write some good episodes. You literally get rid of every good character you develop every few episodes. Jess was the worst loss the show took...but then you lose two of the leading male roles that we all liked as well. Stop making all your shows about all women, I want to see men lead too! Tired of all the shows only having strong women leads and acting like we don't need men! It's a team effort! Wake up and start writing good scripts again and you can have better budgets to keep the better actors that keep walking, because the show is becoming lame. You can't blame them!

How many stereotypes can you cram into an hour...

About half way into it I was thinking maybe episode #2 would be better as so far the show was nothing but pandering to every stereotype cop show and situation I have ever seen, all in less than 30 minutes. Being a retired, ex-policeman, and avid TV and movie buff, I've seen a lot of cop/crime fighting oriented productions and situations but upon getting to the predictable ending I don't think this show deserves my time for a 2nd look or viewing of episode 2. The original "FBI" is barely tolerable and enough time spent turning off my brain during the week for that hour. I keep hoping that gets better too. But this show had no nuance, and was an example of flagrant predictable crap. This is insulting to the viewer. The characters were superficial and in the first show you already gave too much info on their quirks and dysfunctions which they brazenly air in public, no less. Although I've seen several of the actors in other shows where I've like them and they do good to great work, they're not the problem here, it's the writing. Pee-eew! A word of advice, stop trying so hard, quantity is not as good as quality and ease into development of the personalities as these people were simplistic and cartoonish and I already don't like them or their dysfunctions. Then again, dumbing down may works for the general public... ie. look at L&O: SUV, NCIS:NOLA... a lot of good actors..., wasted, but that crap is still on. Who knows maybe you've got a hit?!?
