I am not usually a thriller fan...but this ought my attention and kept it. I am used to Korean series with characters aged 30+ experience first kiss with eyes wide open in shock...(really guys?)..For a change, this is a really well written, well acted by all, suspenseful story. I became addicted after the first episode. Watch it.

Excellent murder mystery thriller! Absolutely fabulous cast! Loved it!
  • This is a show full of crazy people. They are all on the psychosis spectrum for sure. Which makes for an incredible thriller. They all make it very hard to root for any of them and depict the duality of human behavior and psychology very well. It's intense but it's fabulous story telling.

Okay, i'm even not sure if there're so many words that can literally describe how much i love this drama, can't count how many times i rewatched it anymore, i even downloaded all the eps on my pc to check on them almost every time i open my pc.. this is a masterpiece, the different role that seo kang joon plays in it which is really showing his acting skills very well more the the romantic roles he used to play, han suk yu -my today and forever best actor- which i actually knew form this drama and made me watch the two seasons of dr. romantic, he played this psycho role very very well, the way he stares on others in this drama was incredible!! i really loved everything about this show, the hidden romance between some couples, the bromance between chi kwang and kang joon, every simple hint or meaning in this drama is really such a holy thing! WATCHER is my always and forever best drama i've ever seen.

An internal corruption team headed by Do Chi-kwang (Han Suk-kyu) are looking into murders possibly carried out by a secret organisation within the police. His team is made up of a person who's mother was murdered by a person with links to the organisation and a lawyer who was also tortured by them. It is a well acted drama although the line between good and bad guys become blurred as they all seek what they deem as justice. Even though the plot is clever the execution let's it down with a mish mash of flashbacks which confuse and some ridiculous events in the action which seem contrived. Worth a watch but could have been much better with a different screenplay.
  • Seo Kang Joon, dashing as ever when it comes to acting. After watching this series, I just felt like there was not enough justice that's much done to the unfolding of events. I was wishing for more but I guess the satisfaction of getting what I want was not just possible. Story-wise, this sends a strong message to everyone who is position.
  • This show was an enjoyable watch, but nothing particularly stood out to me. The mystery of who killed Young-Goon's mother was the most interesting plot line, so once that was solved I felt like the show kind of dragged from that point on. The acting was very good, and I liked the soundtrack, but the fight scenes were definitely my favorite parts - they seemed extremely realistic. Definitely a good watch.

Just in the first episode, you already know who is the real villain. There was attempt to hide the villain and confuse the viewers but I guess it was not even well executed. The second female lead character is boring even there is no romance theme. The acting of the other cast was great though. The ending was open ended that it appears it might have a season 2.

I've noticed this in many South Korean shows. They stretch the story line by double, when it could easily be done in half the time and been more enjoyable. Instead they just repeat the same story beats (and the same terrible k-pop song written specifically for the show).

"That cop says you killed her." "No, the other cop did." "He says you did." "No, he did." "If I find out you did it, I'll kill you." "Ok." etc...

No one actually gives info to each other. They play guessing games, and then look baffled. Lawyer lady begins to help them and just when they're about to get some real answers she yells "Psyche!" and becomes the attorney for the person the cops are trying to get info from.

Everyone knows there is a killer cutting off thumbs, yet they go everywhere alone and don't blanket the town with cameras. If there's a weird noise in the other room, they don't immediately call 911 or check corners, yelling at the top of their lungs. They slowly investigate.

Our young cop finds the evidence they've been looking for the entire season, and does he upload to Dropbox as soon as he gets it? Nope. He's going to let it get stolen while almost being killed in the same apartment his parents were killed (his dad, just a few days earlier by the same killer).

This show started interestingly. They'd spend two episodes including a side story along with the main story, and then after the organ trafficking arc, they lost steam.

This series is unnecessarily confusing and frustrating. The story is hard to follow because they jump ahead and show the aftermath and then go back later. There are many long boring scenes of dialogue with the actors talking in a monotone. Many hours could have been cut. The big reveal is an anti climax. Seo Kang Joon acts well enough as a cop but his the cop he plays always seems incompetent - either too late on the scene or easily cornered by the bad guy. The characters aren't likeable or sympathetic which is unusual for a K drama. Not worth the slog.
