  • This episode tells the interesting stories of the romance, courtship and weddings of the three first ladies. The episode synopsis is totally incorrect.
  • Glad we see the real Barak - a fool. Barry what's your end goal? Ruin the USA and divide the country. Michele form all this was the true ruler of the relationship and the White House!!!
  • "Please Allow Me" episode 3 from season 1 of "Showtime's" anthology "The First Lady" is one flashback one that looks at all three first ladies Michelle, Eleanor, and Betty as it shows how each fell in love with their first man mates in Barrack, Mr. Roosevelt, and Jerry respectively. Shown are the meetings, dates, and love connections, and all ending with marriages. Overall another okay well done episode of the series that takes one back in time with vintage feel of historical moments.
  • Factual or not, whether 99% or 9%, this series gets us talking. It shines the light on THESE women who are torn between who we want them to be, who they are expected to be who they choose to be. It is refreshing to have a series take a point of view such as this and wash it thru multiple decades. It is not only timeless it relevant.
  • Since this is transitional and the most soap operatic episode so far, I won't do much criticizing. First of all, the Eleanor Roosevelt character is hard to put a finger on. She is stoic and firm in her beliefs. Why she and Franklin and she hooked up is a bit strained. Betty Ford's portrayal is so sad. It's a person put in a world where she wasn't prepared for the tribulations of her new post. She is the wife of a politician, but to be thrust into the First Lady role is a quantum leap. Finally, I'm a big Viola Davis fan and yet I think she is totally miscast here. Physically, she just doesn't do it for me. She's awfully harsh in almost every setting. Anyway, I will be interested to see where this takes them.
